Last time i went to Edmonton a 6-pack of low quality beer was like $30, that is criminal. Plus everyone is high as a kite there since drug testing is against their civilian rights. What a utopia...
That's super funny of you to mention, since the alcohol industry was privatized out there. We thought it was expensive in Ontario.. but it's somehow cheaper here. What happened in Alberta? - Ontario Beer Facts (beerfactsontario.ca)

Had a very good friend in Drayton Valley AB....suspect heart blockage. Hospital in Edmonton said allocation of special dye was used up and go home and do not have a heart attack....it will be about 3 months. So he went home, had a heart attack and died....?
I have friends and family out there who have had similar experiences. One of them, just a month or two ago, had to change medications because the Albertan government decided that they like a different company that provides it. He's going through hard times now, because the medication he used to be on was the only one that actually worked for him. Had he lived in another province, this wouldn't be an issue for him.

Alberta is known to many Canadians as "the Texas of Canada", for both good and bad reasons. It is the most conservative province and has the lowest tax rate.

Growing up in Ontario, it was very common for people I went to school with to go out there to work in the oil sands or related industries, make a lot of money, and then return to Ontario.

HI Ryan,

Hard work in the oil patch, but lots of quite wealthy folks. Never seen so many 5th wheel trailers in driveways...

best,
Phil

They actually came back? on their own accord?
lol

Honestly, they usually come back after a few years. It's the ones that move to BC that have a harder time coming back.

Damn that's cheap for MA! Here we can only get 91 and that's $3.69, I go to either Sams or Costco where it's still $3.21.

Just wait until CA is mostly EV. They'll raise the price even higher because now they're not getting enough taxes from the gas. On top of that you won't be able to charge it because of the rolling blackouts.

Not to mention we just had a 12% electrical price increase this year alone, since they need to bury more power lines to reduce the risk of starting forest fires because of "climate change." It sounds like the makings of a Sci-Fi movie.

The air was crap in the 60s and 70s in California. The right was screaming that the EPA regulations would kill the state. We now have much better air and cars that are much cleaner. The chicken little argument didn’t come to fruition.
