I'm sure it varies widely, but compared to where I've been the US would be in the middle.That goes for any major city. I hate driving through Kansas City or St Louis during rush hour. And Columbia, Mo isn't much better with all of the college students and foreigner that work at the numerous colleges or hospitals. Nothing against foreigners, other than they just aren't used to driving in the US which is normally different than their home countries.
Once you get away from the congested cities they're all about the same.
Europe, the drivers and road courtesy seemed much better than here, especially in the cities.
South America, the lines on the road are a vague suggestion that everyone ignores and you get 5 lanes of traffic filling 2 lanes. Traffic is total anarchy.
