Not exactly, its those the levy the taxes and or breaks that are at issue here. Continuing to believe giveaways to businesses hoping they will do the right thing and repay the free money they get in the form of livable wage jobs that will repay what was given in the form of tax breaks. But that never happens. Case in point. Here in KY we gave away the farm to lure toyota into building the Georgetown assembly plant. All the usual pipe dreams of great jobs were given as justification. The fact is 80% of all hires are temps. So they are not paid at normal scale, do not have any benefits, and they can be temps indefinitely, and be let go at anytime. These people are not getting enough money to inject it back into the economy to repay the socialist tax breaks the company received. But there are communities in eastern KY that have not been able to drink their water for over 5 years due to pollution from another socialist industry that received all sorts of government handouts, coal. Lets look at the oil industry, they get handouts due to whats called diminishing resources. So they get free money because their wells will eventually go dry, and they get to bet on that and win every single time!
I was talking more about the taxes they collect from us not businesses. Coming from MA I've seen enough crooked, shady BS to last a lifetime and my gf being from IL which is just as bad. Every time they need more money they disguise it as a "fee" which never goes for its intended use. They raised the "fees" on her cell bill that I had her and her daughter added to my plan and that alone saved them almost $12/month.

As far as businesses go I do agree. Amazon has taken over here building warehouses all over AZ with a new 1M sq ft building near me. They were given everything under the sun to come here including massive tax breaks. I have no idea of the pay there but have heard he works his workers to to death!

Out of curiosity, have you ever owned a small business? Or a large one for that matter? I have, for 11 years. Don’t get me started. You have no idea…
He's right to an extent. The larger businesses like Amazon come in and demand this and that and most areas fall over backwards for them. Why? You're talking a BILLION dollar company begging for more handouts. I've been owned my business now for 35 year and yes we small businesses get some breaks but nothing like these large Corps that do not need them. They can hide behind all the corporate tax structures and it's a joke when you hear every politician say " the rich will pay their fair share if you vote for me". Until all those corporate laws are changed nothing will ever change!

Ok yes to that point and in total agreement. Using Amazon as an example they’re running riot and paying nothing. They want to put up a massive warehouse not far from me. As locals we banded together and forced the town to block the move. They’re offering all kinds of stuff. None of us want to hear it. Our property values tank if they get in. Point is, if you don’t control your destiny locally the state doesn’t care. It’s a superfund site they want to build on. We’re just going to cap it and build a 600K foot warehouse! Might be a little more traffic too. Not going to happen

Out of curiosity, do you pay full price or choose to take socialist deductions and credits? There is a choice. And if you did take those deductions/credits did you pass that savings along to your employees in the form of higher wages/benefits?

So what is socialistic about taking a tax credit? Do you not take them on your personal taxes? Just because us businesses get a tax credit doesn't mean someone else isn't taking it right from your other hand. It's a never ending battle between the workers comp, liability ins and health ins. So yes I'll take every credit I'm LEGALLY entitled to.

Quick rant...
We are human resources.
Large Co get tax breaks so CEO get huge share options.
1980's trickle down never happened.

Everywhere I read people are talking about the same thing.
Something is going to break, eventually, but this can go on for a few more yrs or decades.

Not crazy about unions but I always liked this part.

I find it funny that a lot of the folks in California that are "getting sick of it" move to another state to escape it, then want to enact the same policies that they had back in in the nut factory. They are like an invasive species.

Same question as whats socialistic about getting healthcare or any other government benefit. You don't have to take that credit and can choose to pay full price. So before you quickly call something communist or socialist you should look in the mirror and ask, what am I taking or getting for free? I get nothing, and I pay full price where is my credit or deduction for paying full price for roads, police etc?

Unfortunately, Margie booked 5 nights in San Diego on the ocean for celebration of her 80th birthday. I am going to drive there and will try my best to fill up in Arizona and only purchase enough fuel to get us back to Arizona.
So it starts...

Being self employed for 35 years I've always payed for my healthcare. There are no credits unless you're on the ACA which obviously I don't qualify for. You wanna know what else isn't fair? How about us self employed having to pay DOUBLE FICA and never seeing double the amount back!

Like I said originally I have no problem paying taxes as long as they go towards their intended use, not in someone else's back pocket.

I say start with Social Security. Terminate that program and refund any money issued into it by someone not of age to utilize it. Grandfather those in that are retired and once they die off that user base will slowly dwindle.

I am OK with SS Disability though. I do however think verification of being disabled should be way more stringent. That shit is rife with BS approval claims about as bad the VA and veteran disability pay outs. I know that is going to rustle a lot of jimmies saying that, but veterans themselves will tell you all about their friend Bob who gets a 100% classification check, but is off working a full time job doing construction now. There are a lot of veterans who deserve every penny they get, but there are also a lot of veterans gaming the system to the tune of billions.
