While I do agree just look at the past election and there's NOTHING we can do about it anyways.

George Carlin said it best when he said I don't vote and I blame all you F'ers because you're the ones voting for this shit!

I hate it here. I can't even call it Commiefornia without getting scolded by my neighbors. The EV crowd votes for these higher taxes because it doesn't hurt them. Wait till they start taxing them too for batteries, overage charges for draining the grid, special parking passes, and whatever else they can come up with to steal your money.

I'm in the Taxation is theft crowd. A real rebel for these here parts. They like my kind round' here. Looks like I'll be riding my motorbike more than the Ranger.
Very true. That’s happening with solar here in San Diego. As more and more folks add solar, the money intake for Sempra Enery becomes less. So they are scheming to find ways to offset the loss with proposed fee structures supported by politicians that hurt solar owners and gut the solar industry. Essentially by eliminating the benefit of going solar.

My wallet is crying ? CA has to be the only knuckleheads that vote to tax themselves more when we were already taxed on fuel.

Unfortunately, Margie booked 5 nights in San Diego on the ocean for celebration of her 80th birthday. I am going to drive there and will try my best to fill up in Arizona and only purchase enough fuel to get us back to Arizona.

I find it funny that a lot of the folks in California that are "getting sick of it" move to another state to escape it, then want to enact the same policies that they had back in in the nut factory. They are like an invasive species.

I like Texas, but I’m getting home sick. The north east will always be home and I’ll always be a Yankee. Half of my family comes from Maine dating back to the 1600’s.

Does New Hampshire have cheap acreage if you aren’t afraid of driving an hour to work?

My ex and I were in New Hampshire a couple of years ago camping in the mountains and I loved it. Vermont is beautiful too. But politically all three states scare me and they could vote rights away pretty fast.
Like any other place, property is more expensive near high-paying jobs. I like https://www.beangroup.com/property/search.php?state=NH for searching.

FWIW, the “Live Free or Die” state ranks at or near the top of the list for individual liberty in every survey I’ve seen.

It sure is funny seeing everyone crying about having to pay for things in the form of taxes, and always wanting all the services and infrastructure for next to nothing or for free. Ive been paying FULL PRICE my entire life! I don't have kids (coupons) running around to use as socialist tax credits, or a house/business to use as a socialist tax deduction etc.
But it begs the question, all of these deductions are NOT required to take, you can pay full price if you so choose, so I wonder how many here crying about not getting enough free stuff in the form of government handouts (deductions) actually chose to pay full price and not take the allowed socialist credits/deductions?

It has nothing to do with having to pay taxes. It's the mismanagement of those collecting the taxes!

Pick any subject that restricts freedom or spends stupid and that map always looks about the same...HMMMM...
Yes it does. And yet voting habits remain disturbingly stubborn things, don't they?

Yes it does. And yet political leanings remain disturbingly stubborn things, don't they? I am a Cali native whose parents fled when the going was good. I used to feel sorry for my fellow natives, but as the decades dragged on and they refused to change their voting habits I finally realized that you just can't save some people from themselves.

Not exactly, its those the levy the taxes and or breaks that are at issue here. Continuing to believe giveaways to businesses hoping they will do the right thing and repay the free money they get in the form of livable wage jobs that will repay what was given in the form of tax breaks. But that never happens. Case in point. Here in KY we gave away the farm to lure toyota into building the Georgetown assembly plant. All the usual pipe dreams of great jobs were given as justification. The fact is 80% of all hires are temps. So they are not paid at normal scale, do not have any benefits, and they can be temps indefinitely, and be let go at anytime. These people are not getting enough money to inject it back into the economy to repay the socialist tax breaks the company received. But there are communities in eastern KY that have not been able to drink their water for over 5 years due to pollution from another socialist industry that received all sorts of government handouts, coal. Lets look at the oil industry, they get handouts due to whats called diminishing resources. So they get free money because their wells will eventually go dry, and they get to bet on that and win every single time!

Out of curiosity, have you ever owned a small business? Or a large one for that matter? I have, for 11 years. Don’t get me started. You have no idea…

Hey I've got one good thing to say about Californistan... Lane splitting! Sheesh you guys can ride all year too. Some bikes with reasonable engine sizes can get 50-70 mpg too. That and scooting between traffic would help ease the pain of of a state government that has been making bad decisions for decades.

I suppose the problem with motorcycles is you can't really live in them. You can probably pack up a small tent easy enough though. I did that myself on my BMW adv bike just recently. Must admit it felt good to come back to my nice big midwestern home after a few days though hahah.
