A good video nonetheless. They have a good YouTube channel.Thank you for posting the mileage so I didn't have to watch this clickbait video.
some of their videos are good, but I hate titles like that. Just tell me the freaking mileage. I’ve seen this video in several Facebook Ranger groups and no one has said what the actual mileage was. YouTube rewards clickbaity titles and it annoys me. Totally off topic, but I can get off my soapbox now.A good video nonetheless. They have a good YouTube channel.
It's a business. Their sponsors have some say in the product. Nobody says you can't fast forward.some of their videos are good, but I hate titles like that. Just tell me the freaking mileage. Yeah I was thinking a travel trailer that weight wouldn't have done as well. The low frontal area helped a lot.
You are 100% correct. I'm still annoyed by it. Let's get back on topic. I am enjoying the fuel mileage of my truck, even though I don't tow. Mileage while towing is nice. A buddy has a Dodge 2500 that he tows his pontoon boat or camper with and he gets 7. I know his trailers are a lot heavier, but it's nice that we can eek out better mileage while towing. It's a business. Their sponsors have some say in the product. Nobody says you can't fast forward.
Yeah, his low frontal area is definitely a plus. Just did a 4700 mile cross country trip with my 4000 pound TT. Averaged 10.6 mpg calculated, running 70 mph on the interstate. I'm also pushing 750 square feet frontal area, they don't make TTs much smaller. Probably could have done better at 55-60 mph, but I don't like getting run over.I'm wondering how accurate it is. I just drove from Overland Park, KS to Pensacola, FL. Truck was new with only 500 miles on the odometer. It has a 3 inch lift and I believe the 32 or 33 inch tires. The best average I got was 20. Over all average was 19. However as I am typing this I realized there were times we were doing 75/80, generally 5 over the speed limits. So maybe it's possible I guess.
Yeah I tow about similar weight 19ft TT and my best MPG in my side of the country is between 12.4-12.8mpg trying to stay at 65-70mph. Some trips with headwinds and such I could be as low as 9mpg if I stick to 65mph. Ranger can take it but sure hits the mpg.Yeah, his low frontal area is definitely a plus. He mentioned he had it on cruise control 65mph the whole way. From Texas to Michigan, towing my Z car, I got 7 mpg at the worst. Direct headwind and 75mph...
But the trip average was still in the 11s while going 70.
I didn't watch the video (can't stand that guy's voice), but WAS he going 55-60, or 70?
