Dyno ?For sure power gains! Without a doubt.
Why is that all the exhausts available use those ghetto slip fits and clamps?Installed my Gibson dual exhaust. It sounds fantastic and looks great. I have been having a hard time getting one of the clamps to seal though. Thereās 3 pipes that make up the driverās side and im having issues with where the 1st and second pipe meet. Anyone have any suggestions or having the same issue?
The baffles open to the rear on all kitsShould have been more specific, i was asking Brad about the direction of the baffles in the gibson muffler.
It doesn't matter. I did extensive research. Unless the muffler was specifically engineered to go one way and that's the only way it makes power due to some thermodynamic pressure crap, it doesn't matter. The reason for asking is mine are facing the rear also, and i think are way louder than everyone else says their exhaust is.
Anyway, thereās a post on here where another poster ask gibson the same question because their muffler, as well as mine and a few others were labeled wrong as to the inlet, and gibsons response was that the open end of the baffles should be facing the engine.
Yet i also talked to gibson and their response to me was the baffles face the exhaust side.
Probably because the Ranger is a 4-banger and the turbo itself muffles some of the sound. The sound clips I've seen on YouTube aren't real loud. I put a Gibson cat-back on the Sport Trac I had before with the 4.0 V6 and it was pretty loud with A LOT of interior drone. Slam-dunk to install though, fit perfectly.Friend was telling me about Gibson exhaust systems, thought I would check them out. Curious is anyone on here has one installed and what they think of it. Description in the link states "Minimal interior drone, Aggressive Sound", that statement makes me wonder exactly how much drone.
I am running a Bold Performance cat back. I will do a sound clip later on. https://bold-performance.com/collections/ford
