I installed the gibson single back in January. Zero drone. As far as aggressive tone, it is very subtle. If folks didn't know you installed it, they would never know. I have had Gibson exhausts on 2 of my previous trucks ('01 Mazda B4000 & '03 F150 5.4L) and they both sounded great. Personally, I was hoping for a bit more with this setup for the Ranger.
If you are looking for an exhaust with some "volume" this is not the one.

Interesting, for the price it is definitely worth looking into. I just may have to pull the trigger on this one.

Does it install right after the cat like the Magnaflow? the picture makes it look like it attaches were the original muffle is located.

It installs from right at the factory muffler inlet. The stock midpipe is retained.

Stock in the background, Gibson in the foreground.

Thank for the info and pics. Surely the volume is much greater at wide open throttle?

I was the prototype. It sounds just a bit more than stock without being loud and obnoxious.

You can hear it just a bit when flooring it. With the windows down, you do get some turbo noise as well.

Purchased the Gibson and received it yesterday, took the two pipes that go from the muffler to the exhaust tip to be ceramic coated to match the tip. Will post picks when complete. :like:

Good choice

I wasn't looking for loud, just to remove the restriction, high quality, better look, and a good sound

Gibson has it

My favorite part is WOT next to any sort of wall on the passenger side, turbo sure sounds good with the echo

Nice, now I can't wait to get the ceramic coated pieces back so I can get it installed.

Thanks.

Got the ceramic coated pieces back and finally got around to installing. Sounds good, not loud at all, can't even hear it in the cab. If your looking for quite a bit more sound than stock this is not the exhaust for you. I do like it, just the right amount of sound for me and you can feel that it's breathing better in the application of the throttle. This cat-back exhaust is definitely one of the best values out there. Very happy with it! :like:
