Guess I should add my new purchase to this thread.
Pretty exciting truck, so far. But of course I em already wanting a tuner.
Tuning provides such an improvement that is hard to ignore.
I have tuned every one of my diesels and still have a Ram cummins that's tuned, tuned, it's not even close to the same truck.
Improvements on a tuned ranger should be just as satisfying.
I didn't originally want a tremor, but it's what the dealer had that had all the options I was looking for.
If I could have found a loaded up Lariat I would have bought that instead. Then add lift, much better suspension and tires, then what comes on the tremor. Tremor was about $3000 more then what I wanted, $3000 maybe $4000 would have bought me a high dallor suspension and lift and a more prefered Tire Choice.
Although that still wouldn't have got me the axillary switches which I think are pretty cool to have.
I suppose it's also nice to already have steps on it, although I would have preferred a rock slider type bar that would have actually had some underneath protection against a high Center issue or Rocks.

Update: I drove 5 hours and bought another from a dealer in San Antonio. Love the drive. Add pictures in next post.

Dang it! There's my blue tremor, love that color. Oh well, I'm just gonna have to be happy with my silver one. Lol

Hello fellow Tremor lovers,

After fantasizing about a F-150 for a few years, while everyone seemed obsessed with their Tacoma for off-roading, I came across the new Ranger - underrated, sexy, Made in the USA, good tech package; it had several of my wishes combined... I initially planned to get a silver Lariat FX4, but after spending time on this forum I realized many FX4 owners wrote they'd get a Tremor instead if they had to do it again. Somehow on Saturday, I was minding my own business driving my Dodge Charger and I saw it, my dream truck, on the parking lot... It had been delivered the day before and nobody had even test-driven it!

So, I just bought my first ever truck: a 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor in Iconic Silver.

I know nothing; expect too many questions!
First is: why is everyone obsessed with Carbonized Gray? ?

Have a great week everyone!

Just bought the exact same truck.
When I saw this I was like, copycat!
But as it seems you bought yours first so I guess on the copycat. Lol

Wait till you see how many more will be around! ;)

I love Idaho; we should go off-roading together.

Picked up my Tremor yesterday. Ordered it in early February and it was only a couple days delayed past the initial estimated delivery date. Pretty stoked with the truck. Already took the running boards off as I just wasn’t a fan of them. Ford Performance tune will be going on today hopefully.

If you do it right, it takes longer to install than I expected ?

how’d it turn out? Opted for a cheap rollup over the retrax since I wanted to maintain bed space and I park in a closed garage so security wasn’t a major concern.

I went to a few truck accessory stores and compared models on the market before settling for this one (RetraxPRO XR). I plan to mount a Yakima-style rack system one day. I opted for this model so it can hopefully deter thieves a little longer in case I have valuables in the bed and need to step away for a bit. And also if I'm in the snow it shouldn't destroy the cover because of the weight it can sustain (allegedly 500 lbs).

Yes I lost 1 foot of bed length, but had to accept this drawback based on my needs ?

I'm very happy with the quality. The instructions were good enough and there's a few videos online when in doubt. I made some adjustments as I went. I feel comfortable I could do it again in about 2 hours (which is usually the time shops would charge for labour). It was the first time I mounted such accessory and I'm a bit of a perfectionist so it took me twice that time.

Little trick: I have the OEM spray-in bed liner and the bed drain hole covers where concealed as they had been sprayed over. Once I realized they were once removable, I had to gently pry them open.

Finally, not gonna lie: I was even more pleased with my purchase when I saw "North Dakota Made" on the box!

Just my personal opinion but I would leave the running boards on if you plan to go off-road like I already did (that's why I bought the Tremor tbh).

The steps are removable if you are concerned they will touch obstacles (mine have eaten the dirt a few times). Are there better protections available? Maybe. But for my needs these will do, and I don't have to spend more dollars for a while.

Also: I've read in places that the steps are usually the first thing the door of another car will touch, in case you're concerned about your paint job ?

Anyone know if the step hoops are removable from the bar?
