FWIW I was cross shopping fully loaded Lariats and tried both FX4 and Tremor. Loved the ride of the Tremor AND the one I was looking at had better payload than the FX4, maybe due to the different leaf springs. FX4 lariat was 1360 and tremor is 1430.
I hate the rock grabbing of the stock tires too. Are these ones snow rated? I know the stock ones are so am reluctant to replace them as I live in a snowy area.
I've had issues with mine too, taking it to the dealer to see what they can do. I have a feeling off roading jostles it around a bit and gets it mis-aligned.
I would just drive it up and drop it off at the dealer if I were you. Rent a car for a few days if you have to so you can still enjoy your vacation, don't let a little problem ruin your hard earned time off!
What a great purchase! I’m partial because mine is identical ;)
Curious as to why you are looking to upgrade the rear shocks? These are the fanciest rear shocks I’ve ever had with the remote reservoirs and I think they’re great!
I have a Vanish, I generally like it for the price. I got it for $287. I’ve had issues where the clamps shake off after some high speed off roading, I just make sure to re-torque them now and again but I do wish I didn’t have to at all and the clamps were more secure.
no soft tonneau will be...
I’m a bit disappointed at the lack of available AWD with the hybrid engine, not saying I would buy one but I think it would be a great option.
If the next gen ranger includes a hybrid option with a tremor-like off road package I am placing a day 1 reservation.
I just watched the TFL video that stated the tow package includes an integrated trailer brake controller. On a vehicle that is hardly designed to tow that is likely to piss off many on this forum (I’m a little peeved myself)…
I guess all we can hope for is that Ford learned their lesson and...
Took the tremor on its first real road trip. Did about 1600 miles over the course of the week. Most of that was freeway driving between 75-80 mph. There were also some high elevation mountain passes where the I was thankful for the turbo. Overall managed about 21 mpg which I was pleasantly...
Bummer to hear the negative reviews all of a sudden. I’ve noticed quite a few paint chips so will probably install until a better solution comes along.
I think the pictures have convinced me. They’re coming off! Any thoughts on the protection provided by the bar itself? Seems like it could function alright as a rock slider.
