Now that I live in the south, I'm gonna need to start learning a little bit about bourbon...

In one weekend in Louisville Ky, I learned more about bourbon than anyone I know. The tasting at the end was the best.

JTDay, this is the 32% ABV (64 proof) Imperial Stout we were trying to obtain when we were in Scotland:

I’m a simple guy- Guinness draught is my choice whether it’s working on the truck or working in the yard. A pinot noir is also good if I’m in the mood or have to think between sips.

There are many kinds of long drinks.

We started out this afternoon with gin & tonic long drinks. Fever Tree tonic water, fresh-sliced limes, and Rosemary gin from The Gin Factory in Scotland. My young wife has done liquor modeling for Bombay, so we normally use their gin...
Do you have an old wife too?

For me its either a Bourbon, neat in the winter, over ice in the summer. Longbranch, Makers, Four Roses, Basel Hayden...

Or a Tequila derecho. Reposado or Anejo. usually Don Julio
Centenario anejo is
I too like the Don Julio, always keep a bottle of 1942 in the cab....inet
Centenario anejo is by far my favorite tequila to drink derecho.

It didn’t go as well as I hoped it would.

Running a bit low, but, took a tour in Denver on my 30th bday a couple years ago at the Stranahans distillery and sampled all of their whiskeys, very cool experience. My wife got me this bottle for Christmas and about time for a few more !

I keep a bottle of Don Julio Anejo or Reposada in the house. I tried 1942 and it gave me a headache both times. Never again. I tried to get into whiskey but it never took. I've bought some good single malt but still didn't like it. I like a quality tequila.

I used to teach nights at our local's trade school. Usually everybody was tired from working during the day. We had one class on the 5th of May and nobody wanted to be there. I looked around the room and people were fighting to stay awake. I asked about everybodies favorite tequila. People immediately woke up and had an opinion. That went on for about 5 minutes until it devolved into favorite bars in Mexico City. By then people were wide awake and we started class.
