Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

And my truck is still sitting in the train depot waiting for a truck ride since last Tuesday. Dealer can give me no clues as to when to expect it. Hard to believe they have so many vehicles to haul to dealers than mine has to sit for a week. Ford tracking is still saying a 3/6 delivery and I'm beginning to think the truck is just going to sit until 3/6. I'm really getting aggravated with all this waiting bullshit, especially when the truck has been sitting within 25 miles of me for the last week.

Same here Geoff, mine has been in KC since last monday. I had a drink with my salesman last night and it is still on an auto rack in some yard. He hopes to have it by the middle of this week.

Also the tracker is a pile of crap it hit delivery in 1 day on Friday. And every day since then it has wen't up 1 day. Now it is monday and says 4 days to delivery lol

So it counts down to one and then counts up. Trash system.

Hey hows it going everyone? Placed an order for my new Ranger on 2/15... still have no updates from dealership. Planning on calling in the next few days just to see where i stand as its been about 3 weeks. Ordered the XLT (4x2 unfortunately) sport appearance, tow package, bed liner, sidesteps. Only regret is the 4x2 but was on a tight budget and dont have much use for the 4x4 down here in miami lol so i prioritized other things. love the things some of you have done with your trucks

I’m using this exact tactic with my order. The dealership has repeatedly told me it’s nothing that is in their control. I don’t waiver, I keep saying I want to know why my truck is delayed and when I can expect it to be delivered. Let’s see what they tell me on Monday.

Update - My truck has been built and due to lack of rail cars, per the dealership.

Hey rangerdanger, I finally have some info for the running tally chart - my name, Rock25 is on there next to order date of Sept. 20. The last four numbers of VIN is 1213. The build date is/was 2-15-19 and the delivery date is 3-5-19. If the tracker is correct, that would be tomorrow. Have seen tracker is not always correct so will wait and see. Thanks for all your work on the forum and with the tally chart.

OK everyone one, has anyone else read page 210 of the owners manual? Am I reading it correctly, bumper towing is 3500lbs, Tow package is 7500lbs, but those figures are all mute as without a trailer brake you are only supposed to tow 1650lbs???? Did Ford just give us a big smoke and mirrors thing about towing? I know there has been discussions about trailer brake controllers and such but I am a little perplexed that the owners manual basically says anything above 1650lbs is not recommended? Some one with more G2 then I please answer this one?

Thanks! by updates i meant like the VIN or information to track on the website. Wasn't sure how long after the order is placed until i received that information.

Bob, that is correct. I've read the owner manuals and all list reduced weights for non-braked trailers: F150 (1,500#), Canyon/Colorado (2,000#), Tacoma manual (1,000#) as some examples. From my research, you must have a brake controller to tow at the maximum stated. It's just unfortunate that Ford elected to not include a controller in the towing package.

You likely won't see any updates until you have a VIN and are able to track progress on your own. As you can gather from this thread, we have all been there
