I don't know what is up with the new generation is it instant messaging or gratification which one is it? I am a old man who doesn't quite get it. The world doesn't rotate around you, unlike what mom and dad told you. Can you enlighten me then maybe then I can understand.

Unfortunately you could be delayed for a number of reasons, or not at all.

My Ranger is driving great, just hit 500 miles in the first week. I keep finding excuses to drive it, it’s so enjoyable.
Awesome glad you are enjoying it. Well being east coast we (dealership) has not had any transportation delays on the stock rangers they have been right on schedule. So as long as it gets on a train it should get here! But it needs to be built and that’s the worry!

My tracker shows in production. I placed my order in early November. My dealer told me the truck was built in mid January and is awaiting to be shipped. On my tracking screen is says delivery today, but is still says still in production? Crazy!!!!!!!

Ford, if you are listening, FIX THE ORDER TRACKER!!! Fans of the Ranger have waited years for our beloved truck to return to the marketplace. We wish we didn’t have to, but we will wait patiently for many months while our custom orders are built per our individual wants and needs.

Our wait is unnecessarily torturous due to a tracking system which is inaccurate and unreliable. My truck was, according to the tracker, to be delivered to the dealership a week ago. The tracker indicated this date despite key process markers on the tracker not being checked off. The tracker updated to a new delivery date next week again, without any other progress. My truck is still, “In Production”,

Ford, figure it out. Give us accurate information. Someone with a barcode reader could probably clean up the tracker errors fairly quickly.

I would say that the current tracker, as it is implemented, is a NEGATIVE customer experience. It sets expectations that you can actually get current status on your order, which (in many cases documented here) is a false expectation. I think it would be better to have no info rather than the false info people are getting from the tracker today.

It shouldn't be that hard.

Agreed on all points.

Being the skeptically minded person I am, I cannot help but wonder if this is all part of the Ford master plan? Many of us ordered 4x2, but those are delayed. Customers get tired of waiting and go buy 4x4's from dealer stock. More money for Ford up front. I've been waiting since August 25. I've found a 4x4 that is close enough to my order and it is arriving soon in Kansas. I have the financing all set (not Ford). If I can get the dealer to take X-Plan and give me a decent trade in, I may just take a road trip from Texas to Kansas as soon as it shows up vs waiting another 43 days.

And my truck is still sitting in the train depot waiting for a truck ride since last Tuesday. Dealer can give me no clues as to when to expect it. Hard to believe they have so many vehicles to haul to dealers than mine has to sit for a week. Ford tracking is still saying a 3/6 delivery and I'm beginning to think the truck is just going to sit until 3/6. I'm really getting aggravated with all this waiting bullshit, especially when the truck has been sitting within 25 miles of me for the last week.
