I’m using this exact tactic with my order. The dealership has repeatedly told me it’s nothing that is in their control. I don’t waiver, I keep saying I want to know why my truck is delayed and when I can expect it to be delivered. Let’s see what they tell me on Monday.
Its not fun and its annoying having to "hound" them so they can sell a truck to you. Really not how it should be going hah, but my dealership was really good about being on top of things for me after I told the first salesman to get lost. Its all about who they talk to... if you don't get any answer's or hard proof of the trucks location in their tracking system then its time to get corporate involved in getting the truck delivered.

I've spoke to the gm of my dealership so many times even bought him a few bottles of wine that he texts me with daily updates.

March 10 will be 6 months to the day I preordered my Lariat. The truck made it thru Production in a timely manner, made it to shipping quicker than I expected, and the train dropped it off in the amount of time I expected. What I haven't expected is for the truck to be sitting at the "Buffalo Ramp" waiting to get put on a car carrier truck for 5 days now. And it may not happen until mid-week. Nothing about this process has been smooth or timely. Get one hurdle down and another pops up with yet more waiting.

I agree nothing is great about waiting. My tracker keeps going in back in forth on delivery days remaining. First its 5days then 12 days back then back to 5 now im at 12 again. Dealer told me it was on the train dont know who to believe.

Hopefully it's 5 days and not 12.
My truck is actually sitting and waiting for the car carrier truck longer than it took to ship from MAP to Buffalo.

Your Dealer does have visibility into where the train is. Mine made the "Buffalo ramp" on the 26th.

You and I are in the same vote, now there is a delay on getting the truck from the auto rack to the car carrier lol. I mean how many delays can there be? I think this is the last time I order a vehicle. Never again.

Yeah, this car carrier delay makes me wonder why. I did chose a small town dealer and he's not selling nearly the volume of Fords that some of the bigger dealers do. I'd guess that are only one or two vehicles he might get so I'm thinking the truck carriers are wanting the shorter trips first where they can empty the truck after stopping at 1 or 2 dealers.

I’m a baby boomer who after years of buying other brands has returned to Ford. I’ve purchased new cars four out of the last five years. One would think, Ford would be interested in my thoughts. Given the poor communication I’ve been provided during the ordering process so far, Ford would certainly get some great insight from me about their customer service.

They gave me a delivery date of 04/21/19 and a build date of 03/25/19. I doubt I'm getting my truck in April from what I've been reading.

My unhinged thoughts are Ford is ramping up production, sorting though hiccups, and gaining ground on better weather. These factors may speed deliveries up significantly.

Have them get the Ford District Rep involved.

@rangerdanger I was wondering if you had heard anymore information about production rates from any other forums? Still keeping my fingers crossed that mine is blended on the 12th per my dealers spreadsheet and super nervous about the spray in bed liner. Also how is your new Ranger driving?

Unfortunately you could be delayed for a number of reasons, or not at all.

My Ranger is driving great, just hit 500 miles in the first week. I keep finding excuses to drive it, it’s so enjoyable.
