When hauling bikes I frequently drive with the tailgate down. Whenever I back up there is a continuous warning sound - I assume because the backup camera is facing the ground, but there are other sensors in the rear bumper and they are not being blocked. A lot of people use bed extenders and drive with the tailgate down so I'm surprised Ford hasn't figured out a way to prevent this annoyance.
Do other people experience this warning with the tailgate down? Is there any way to temporarily turn off this warning? It's a useful warning when the tailgate is up, but really annoying when the tailgate is down, and It's really starting to bug me so any help will be greatly appreciated!
