Had to double take when I saw the snap on covers. Hadn't seen those. Not sure if they diminish output though.

For what it's worth for almost the same price you can get new lenses, clear or amber in whatever pattern you want w/ a new o-ring.

I see BD lists the snap on covers as "rock blockers." The Squadron Pros in my FiST fog pockets get hammered on rough dirt roads all year round, and have held up for years. Not sure if rock protection is needed.

Looks good!
I did debate on which way to go, as changing the lens itself is also pretty dang easy, and yeah, cost is only $5 more for the lenses, but I made my decision for 2 reasons. One, the addition of an extra rock protection is nice (not the main reason, but a plus) and two, it gives me the ability to switch the color as needed with no tools needed! Just snap the lens on or pull it off, and when off, I can keep them in the truck! I would say either way, lens or cover, is a great option to switch the color, but I opted for the tool-less change capability. As for light output, I would say the difference between replacing the lens with a yellow one vs the yellow lens cover is probably pretty negligible, as the biggest factor in diminishing the output is wavelength of light that is going through the lens to display yellow. Either way, you are shining a white led light through a yellow lens, so not all of the color wavelengths from the white light are making it out of the housing. Adding the addition of the clear lens that the light is passing through I am sure has a light impact, but to the human eye, is probably pretty imperceivable.

Good point to make and not for sure, and that is just my comprehension in my head when thinking about it! Not sure if it is accurate, but to me it makes sense!

I think you're right that the quick change ability would make up for any loss in output.

If the install on my FiST allowed it I'd go this route. We get more winter fog here so I just switch lenses with snow/summer tires on that.

But I'm liking this option for when I get some on the truck.

I added WeatherTech front/rear floor mats, MudFlaps, a BumpStep®XL and a pair of SeatShields for my front seats. Nothing unusual but necessities in my mind.
Light and muffler upgrades are next on the list.

i was reading about forscan and i read that you only needed the license if you are needing to program a new remote?

I got their admin approval, just need to download and buy the adapter. IF I do need to buy a license, does that allow me to use forscan on any Ford, in other words it isnt tied to a vin etc?

With Forscan you need a license to make any changes. You also need to use it on a Windows PC, the mobile apps are view only. They have a 2 month free license, so you can trial it.

It is not tied your Vin#, you can use it on any Ford vehicle.

Didn't like the look of the grill opening, so I added a Putco grill insert.

I will no longer have to use my comealong to get me unstuck with these crappy tires.... I know I could have just replaced the tires, but I have a hard time replacing servicable things. Plus, I've wanted one of these for a long time.

I got a winch with a receiver mount and associated straps, etc:

I installed my new Ready lift intrusion bars. I like them a lot more than the BDS intrusion bars.

Looking Good, I see the instillation PDF on ReadyLIFT web page. The directions look pretty easy, in your experience would you say it was an easy install?

I fixed that for you. Spend some time on this forum, and "done" is not a word you will use when referring to your Ranger
