Questions...do you rotate your own tires or have someone else do it? And if you have someone else do it who? Ford , Discount Tire, Jiffylube? I change my own oil and filter but rotating the tires are kind of a pain to do in my option, I've done it but I don't like doing it.

Ford does it when they change my oil...lol part of the works package $50 + tax and I don't have to get all dirty and greasy and get to test drive some cars while I wait.

Hi Terry,,

It will be me if my health holds. Going to be a while as I only have about 2k miles on it and going on 2 years of ownership....Thank you Covid and the fact that most of my driving is less than two miles round trip....

best,

The dealer I purchased my lightly used 2020 Lariat from included 3 Oil changes and Tire Rotations as part of the deal. After that, the local tire shop that does all the work on my vehicles will do both.

My buddy and I make sure the tires are rotated when we do the seasonal tire change over. I also get it done in between when I get the oil changed by the oil change place owned by Ford in Saskatoon. They do the same service and charge the same as "The Works"

I do my own tire rotations and oil changes when I have the time. It takes less time for me to do it than it does to drive to a shop that I trust. Pre-COVID, I had the best deal I've ever seen, in which I leave my vehicle in my neighbor's driveway, and he takes it to work at his shop. He drops it back in my driveway at the end of the day, with the bill on the front seat. Zero time wasted for me, and he saves mileage and fuel in his own F-250. Can't wait for that service to resume.

This is what I do also, on all my vehicles, when I switch from winter to normal wheels. I usually don't have the millage to do another rotation mid-summer though.

Right now dealer. Not driving as much with Covid so oil change matching rotation plus have oil plan for a while. Then I will do. Have all tools from My GTI which I run two set of tires/wheels.

Depends on my mood and the vehicle.

My wife's CX-5, it's done at the dealership with oil changes.

My Jeep, I do it.

My FiST, I don't trust the dealership with my Ultraleggaras, I handle summer rotatations, dealership handles the steelies for the winter tires.

The Ranger, only @ 3500 miles haven't done one yet. Dealership will probably handle it for a while.

When doing it yourself a cordless impact is helpful.

My FiST is nice 'cause I do front to rear only and it's stiff enough to get an entire side up on one jackpoint. The Jeep, not so much, but I rotate the spare in and with the solid axles I only jack it up twice as well.

I always rotate the tires on all my vehicles myself. During the rotation, I inspect the tire carefully and remove any stones, or other debris from the tread. Over the years, I have found small nails or screws that have not penetrated all the way yet, saving me the trouble of having a flat tire. I also wash the rim on both the inside and outside to remove any road tar, mud, etc. I also take this time to inspect the brakes and any boots that are visible.

I will admit that it is becoming more difficult to remount the spare tire on the Jeep (five tire rotation). ?

I own three vehicles and am the only driver and am retired so all are low mileage so I don't have to do the rotation very often any more. :handsinair::clap:

Right now the dealer does it. I have 2 years free oil changes and tire rotation and I'll probably just have them continue to do it after that's up.

I have always done my own tire rotations. I still do at this point, but the ground keeps getting farther away every year. Ha Ha.

I rotate the tires myself, every 4,000 miles, and also do the oil change.

Ford will do mine with the oil changes until that feature runs out, and then I'll have my shop do it (as someone else here posted).

I have a bit of a pet peeve about this, and wonder if I'm the only one...
When I have my tires rotated, I ALWAYS ask to have them balanced. Every time. And every time I do, the tech finds it necessary to ask me why. I end up telling them because I asked them to do it. I don't understand why this is an issue here in AZ, but it seems to be.
It's important to note that without fail at least one tire needs a weight adjustment.
Don't y'all ever balance your tires when you rotate?
