Ok I measured the distance with the bedrug, that are 10.5 inch, so without bedrug aroumd 11 inch at the lowest point.
Thank You, i've got a bed rug as well so that measurement is perfect. Does the ultra groove lock from the inside?

Yes, the cover locks from the inside. It is easy to unlock the cover with one hand. Heavy rain is in the forecast so I will see how the tailgate seal works.

Tailgate damper.
The aluminium tailgate is so light it doesn't need it at all.
I bought it before I had even dropped the tailgate ONCE lmao. I hate car reviewers all bitchin' about stuff

Wait, this is the “What do you regret buying for your Ranger” thread. He regrets buying this high maintenance useless thing. Andrew, remove that hideous thing before it damages your tailgate cable and join the resistance.

At least he bought one and is still using it. Trust me he will grow to love it and the added benefits that come with it. Unlike some who refuse to come to the dark side! :sunglasses:

Love it or hate it, once a damper owner, always a damper owner.

Wasn't paying attention when I order my raptor style grill lights. I didn't realize there was one specifically for the Lariat trim level, and I ordered the XL/XLT one. $100 lesson learned ?.

Hopefully it'll fit on the raptor grill I'll order in the future.

It'll fit the Raptor grille so no worries there. This is how you end up spending more money though. First it starts with some grille lights than a new grille and next thing you know you're bank account is down $5,000. :curse:

What many have failed to realize is these dampers have a dual use! For those that are concerned about tailgate theft these marvelous devices add another layer of protection! Have you ever tried to removed your tailgate and had to disconnect the device? That’s an exercise in frustration for sure!

I've got a list that I'll try my best to stick to! The lights were an impulse buy though. They look awesome on the truck even without the aftermarket grill.

They were on my list, I simply bought them out of my planned order. ?

Trust me I know about those impulse buys. I've always had trucks and never modded any of them until I joined this forum. Next thing I know I'm replacing perfectly good tires at 800 miles then it's look at those cool grille lights I gotta have those too.

My advise is plant a few of these come spring.?

Shadow Black paint job, love the blue color when I see one on the street. Otherwise I am happy with my truck so far, mostly looked here to see what not to get for it. Happy to see no regrets on CAI or adding a tune.
