So, to make you feel better about sticking those fingers places:
Two hobos walking down the tracks, one says you almost stepped on a pile of crap back there.
Other says yeah? Where?
About a mile back.
They both turn around and run back.
Sure enough looks like crap says the one who almost stepped in it.
Sure enough feels like it he says.
Sure enough smells like it he says.
Sure enough tastes like it be says.
Good thing I didn't step in it.?

Geez Dave - I hope it all worked out. Man, if the critters in AZ don’t get you, the plants will.

One time, my in-laws insisted on getting a photo next to a Saguaro cactus off to the side of the road. Well, my mother in-law got a jumping cactus pod stuck in her canvas shoe. She started screeching for my father in-law to “Get it off! Get it off!”. So, he reached down to pull it off and, of course, it stuck to his fingers. Now he’s cursing and trying to flick it off. He succeeded but he flung it right at my mother in-law and it stuck in her ass cheek! Hilarious! I was laughing so hard I didn’t see how he finally got it off.

Anyway, I hope you’re okay.
Brother you Ass aint Right :LOL::LOL:
But thanks for a good Laugh

Hi Doc,

We will have you in our thoughts tomorrow.... Today is the best time to have such diagnostics and repair.... Modern ophthalmic procedures are amazing.

Good Luck!

Reading this thread and someone sewing up themselves reminds me of my grandfather. He was out with a hatchet chopping up kindling for the kitchen stove (wood burner) and he hacked himself. Blood was everywhere and he’s mumbling to himself. Then hollers out ‘Ma! Bring me the sewing kit and make it fast!’ Out comes grandma and she’s got a pail of water with her too. Obviously this has happened before! Well he sits down on the steps and starts sewing himself up. I can’t believe what I’m seeing here. But, he finishes up, gives grandma a kiss and goes back to chopping the wood ?

Did you shuttle up or heli?
Walked up! with touring skis or a splitboard, you attached "skins" to the bottom of the ski that are similar to a cat tongue material, they only allow glide one way, and traction on the snow the other. The binding in walk mode pivots so you essentially cross country your ski all the way to the top. at the top you put your skis back to ski mode, or put your splitboard back into a snowboard, lock the bindings in with a pin, peel the skins off and put them in your bag and ride down. Its a lot of work, but pretty much the only way to access big mountain backcountry terrain consistently without a heli or sled (both of which I am opposed too for personal reason). Most people in my area either ski tour or splitboard, its very popular in BC

Tough 'ol guy! Now a days everyone runs to the Drs for a hangnail. lol I've never sewn myself up but got into a motorcycle accident some years back. Long story short I went sliding down the road on my stomach and my bike flipped at least 3 times according to my friend who was right behind me. Had all my leathers on except leather pants as it was really hot out. Just below my kneecap I had a hole the size of a silver dollar that bled for almost a week. I washed it out and cleaned it everyday and it never got infected but I couldn't kneel on it for almost a year.

After a couple weeks my back was still a mess and I went to the Dr then to physical therapy, I tore up a bunch of muscles and fractured 4 ribs. Being self employed and having deadlines I never missed a day of work. So a few months later one of my employees gets a good size sliver and tells me he wants to go to the ER.
