Hi Folks,

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the Eibach Pro Truck Kit. I intend on going to 3" at the front, and leaving the back as is (no blocks as I have no current plans to tow/keep some rake). I'm wondering if anyone has gone with the seemingly preferred tire size of 285/70/17 with this setup? I'm hoping for no other modifications (spacers, crash bar mods). This would be on my 4WD XLT Sport with the standard magnetic rims. Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I've been sporting a slightly wilder setup with AF wheels...I don't think even with stock wheel, that there's a way to run 285s without modifying the crash bars...

I myself run 265/70-17 Bridgestone Dueler Revo 3's at this time with the ARB Old Man EMU lift. No rubbbing of course but indo plan to get the Firestone Destination XT in 285/70-17. Why that particular tire? Well one member on here has that tire in that size and has minimal rubbing. I can remember what he did for the suspension but he was on the stock wheels and he didnt habe major problems and loved them for Offroad. Also you still want to consider lifting the rear of the truck if going offroad. I say this for clearance reasons.

Here is my truck. Not too high and not too low. It will sit slightly higher when i get new tires but that is down the road.

I finally just pulled the trigger. Might end up going with 265 instead of 285 to make things easier. I was sure though that I had read a few posts with different 3" lifts and 285s on, no mods/spacers...

Was looking seriously at the OME since it is springs and all, how do you like it? was it a level with the rear springs or does the rear still sit a tad high?

Lol so apparently you cant tell from the picture but the rear is definitely not level with the front. It is actually higher by 2 inches still. Woth that said you coyld say it did 1 inch of leveling but then again you dont want a truck level before you load it down.

How much do i like it? I love it!! It is a well ballanced lift kit thay gives the truck a stable ride both on and off road and I can still tow with no problems.

Finally had my Eibach Pro Truck (3"/1", including rear blocks) kit installed Thursday along with 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak tires on the Sport rims. Only had to add the 1/4" spacer on the front as I had hoped and as per some other folks' builds in the forums. Looks like a different truck, and so far drives great. More noise at highway speeds but to be expected. Waaayyy smoother over miscellaneous bumps, train tracks, etc. Very happy so far!

Honestly I'm not sure what brand/where they ended up coming from. The shop ordered them the week before from one of their suppliers. I can ask if you're really interested...I have to go back in another week or so and get it on the hoist to have it all checked/tightened as needed.

It's not necessary was just curious by chance if you knew.
