I am only interested in the Ford tune because of the warranty. If my local dealer won't do it with the warranty, then I'll look into 3rd party options since I'll be without warranty anyway, and I won't be forking over the extra $ to the dealership. I'm glad you were able to get yours done...
I should have been more specific...will Ford still honour the warranty when the tire size is larger than listed in the tune info. I realize it's possible and that it will work, just don't want to lose the warranty due to the unspecified tire size.
Hi folks,
Has anyone had the tune installed, but had larger than recommended tire size? I'm running 285/70/17 vs the recommended 265/70/17. Not sure if it would be an issue, but before I inquire at my local dealer, thought I'd check. Would like to have the warranty, otherwise I'll be looking...
Honestly I'm not sure what brand/where they ended up coming from. The shop ordered them the week before from one of their suppliers. I can ask if you're really interested...I have to go back in another week or so and get it on the hoist to have it all checked/tightened as needed.
Finally had my Eibach Pro Truck (3"/1", including rear blocks) kit installed Thursday along with 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak tires on the Sport rims. Only had to add the 1/4" spacer on the front as I had hoped and as per some other folks' builds in the forums. Looks like a different truck, and so...
I have the Podium. I liked the more rugged look, and as mentioned the ability to push mud etc through the steps. There is a small lip on the outside edge of the step which is nice to give my boots a scrape before I get in as well...I inspect construction sites so this is a daily thing for me...
I finally just pulled the trigger. Might end up going with 265 instead of 285 to make things easier. I was sure though that I had read a few posts with different 3" lifts and 285s on, no mods/spacers...
Hi Folks,
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the Eibach Pro Truck Kit. I intend on going to 3" at the front, and leaving the back as is (no blocks as I have no current plans to tow/keep some rake). I'm wondering if anyone has gone with the seemingly preferred tire size of 285/70/17 with...
Hi folks, just a courtesy posting regarding floor liners. I just picked up a set of Enthuze floor liners for my Supercrew this past Friday. They look great and have excellent coverage. I inspect/test at construction sites, so floor liners for my muddy boots, snow, etc. are a must! (not to...
