Hi all - I made an unexpected purchase this week and it's currently parked in my garage. I'm the proud owner of a 2020 XLT SuperCrew with FX4 in Magnetic. I've got the 302A and the tow package and I couldn't be more pleased with the truck.

A year ago June I traded an F-150 SuperCrew for a Honda Accord Hybrid with the Touring package and (quite literally) all the options. Great car. 50 mpg which beat the heck out of the 12-14 I got in the F-150. We'd recently sold a camper so there was no reason to hold onto a gas guzzler just to use as a daily driver. But since then, little things kept giving me slight buyer's remorse. Stuff like having to basically take the wheels off my bike to get them into the trunk to get to the trail, having to buy bags of mulch instead of dumping a yard right into the bed, and not being able to take a bunch of tree clippings to the landfill without stinking up our RAV4. And, finally, one week ago, not being able to get out of our neighborhood even with winter tires after we had a crazy, early-season storm.

On Monday, I was so frustrated that I emailed the salesman we'd recently bought my wife's RAV4 Hybrid from and asked if he had any leftover 2020 Tacomas. He had a couple, but they weren't really dealing. Either way, I was about to put down $500 to hold one of the last 2020s that was inbound (with a manual tranny!). The salesman took Wednesday off which ended up being his mistake.

In the interim, I ended up reading a ton of great reviews on the Ranger and figured, why not? I sent a couple internet quote requests to a few local dealers and went to drive the truck after work. The rest was easy! They sent the deal with a nice amount for my trade by email Wednesday night. I debated on Thursday, did the only credit app on Thursday night, e-signed all the papers on Friday morning, and at lunchtime Friday my salesman drove the truck to my house and drove away in my trade. I literally never stepped inside the dealership and the entire transaction took less time than standing in a Costco line on a Saturday afternoon. I got a nicer truck with better equipment than the Taco I'd been looking at, and I got cash back plus 0%. Toyota wasn't even close.

They had a blue with the tech package, but I just couldn't see myself in that color. And it was also $900 of stuff that I likely won't miss. They also had a white and two silvers. But the magnetic just looks so cool.

I don't think I'll regret going Ford instead of Toyota, and the price was right. I gave up a very few of the niceties I had on the Accord, but I got a much more fun daily driver that's much better suited to the stuff we like to do.

I've been consuming all the info on this forum since last Wednesday and finally signed up. What a great place with a ton of great info!

First order of business is a Line-X. Then I'll consider some Blizzaks depending on how it handles the snow on the Hankooks.

Looking forward to connecting here.

I'm Pete, an American living in France with his French wife & kids.
I drive a 2017 Wildtrak. Needed something to make me feel American on these French roads.
Enjoy reading the mods that members here have added.
My first mod from this forum has been the folding mirrors. Also added the electric tailgate lock mod.

John here in Long Island. I’ve been trolling around a week or so. I took delivery yesterday of my Roush Ranger. So far this is a great machine!

Hello everyone,
I am Wyatt, I have been lurking around the forum for a few weeks now while researching the new Ranger. I am in the market for a new truck that more aligns with my current needs and current job. I work for Off Grid Engineering and the new shop we started known as Boulder Vehicle Outfitters. Some of you may know Off Grid Engineering, especially if you came from a Tacoma before your Ranger. I currently Own and drive a Lightly Modified 1998 Tacoma Single Cab 2.7 5 Speed I call Burt.
But I have built most 4x4 vehicles on the market for work except for the new Ranger. After test driving one I was basically sold on that as my next vehicle beating out the new Tacoma do to the drivability, power, and how much more refined the truck felt.
My current plan is to get a 2020 XLT with the 302a package and FX4 package in either white or Iconic Silver.
The truck will remain "mostly" stock for about a year while I finalize my plan on how it will be built for my personal use as well as a bit of a shop show rig. I look forward to being on this forum as well as sharing the build of my Ranger on here in the coming months.
Here is a picture of my current Tacoma until I get the Ranger.

Hey guys, another new Texan on the forum!

Swapped out my 2017 F150 V8 2WD with a 2020 XLT FX4 2 weeks ago camping setup swapped over, mud flaps added last week and more parts on the way!

I have a long background in motorsports and was an engineer/development driver for a tire company for a bit. Taking a step away from racing for a while so I'm not towing as much and wanted to build a 4x4 for more bike and overland trips. Will start a build thread soon!

Hello, Here's my 2020 XLT, picked up on Oct 26th, 2020. So far loving the truck, already have LED low and hi beams in it, as well as LED turn signals, the more I drive her, the more I love. First vehicle was a 2004 Ranger Edge with the 3.0 and manual trans. only 2wd though. but she was a stepside. had a 14 civic si coupe with the HFP package on it, one out of 200 in canada, but for our northern BC winters, 4x4 was necessary as I learned quickly with fwd and winter tires.

Hello everyone. Ive been lurking on this forum for a while but decided it was time introduce myself and join the fun. I got my ranger in the beginning of September- Ive done some modifications already, but of course, I have a few more in mind. (I just posted a showcase with my mods if anyone's interested.) My next move is installing some racks on my Diamondback HD so I can pop a rooftop tent up there. I plan on documenting and sharing some of my future installations and adventures on this site, why not!

Well, originally I was going to get yellow fog lights and I didn't want too many different colors up front (I like the simple look). I ended up going with the white instead so I'm thinking about getting the grill lights. Its not at the top of my list though.

Hello. As indicated by my ID, I am a truck newbee. I've always owned cars before, starting with a German Ford Fiesta back in 1983. Since then, I've owned only cars, mostly sedans... most recently a Nissan Maxima that I just traded in on a new 2020 Ranger XLT Supercab 4x4.

I decided to buy the Ranger partly because we plan to tow it 4 wheels down behind our Class C RV. I need to get a base plat, tow bar and all the other equipment to tow it. I'm sure I'll need advice on all sorts of stuff, and look forward to good conversations here.

Welcome. It might take a little getting use to a truck after always driving cars but the Ranger is a great truck. Perfect size too for a DD and very easy to park. There's a ton of info on here and you'll probably end up buying a whole bunch of stuff you never thought you would.

One bit of advice is get a tailgate damper right away. It's the best and most inexpensive mod you'll do and you will see hp/torque gains like you never knew possible. ?
