Looks good! I'm going to come by and throw some dirt on that garage floor. Way too clean.
Sorry Mike,I'll try and get a picture if it's ever dirty. lol After seeing how much I wash my truck you should know I couldn't let my OCD keep a dirty garage floor. ?

This time around, I decided to use Viair 450p as my onboard air compressor, instead of my usual ARB twin setup.
(100% duty cycle, auto cut-off between use/ tires)
I used my Aux box available 30a circuit so I can turn it on/off using my Aux in cab switch.

I started yesterday, but too much distraction from trick or treaters...I finished what I could. lol

Today its raining....I still have to clean up wiring and I may also add Viaair cooling fan and dedicated 30a curcuit breaker for the compressor.

Nothing too crazy, but we installed a 20in light bar in the lower grill/bumper opening! Fits pretty well, used the universal brackets from Woolworth Motorsports. Getting the wiring through the firewall was a pain. Also had to shave down the backside of the bumper to get a bolt to clear. Mounted the rocker switch next to the interior fuse panel handle below the light controls.

Between the light bar, wiring harness, switch, brackets, and other hardware, it all cost less than $120 and took about 3 hours to do (including cutting the hole for the switch, cutting the bumper, and we had to bore out two of the holes in the brackets).

I added front letters to the Ranger, but I slightly screwed up on the last letter.

First off, I think overall it looks great and the first five letters went on perfectly and easily. The last letter, I don’t know if I got a little careless, or the light was bad, but I put it on just a hair off line. I did not notice it at first, but then I did. Then I thought maybe people would not notice it, but after I took a picture of it, I knew they would and even worse I would.

I heated it up and removed it and put it on properly, but the surface of the letter was slightly damaged in the process.

I have ordered the letters again. At least it comes with two R’s in case I screw up again.

The pics show the before, the screwed up R and then the straightened R.

I get the tailgate letters on Saturday. It was a good lesson, but it is also a little scary now. Perhaps being larger they will be easier, but I now know they have to be put on perfect, a hair off perfect is not good.It would be a more expensive do over if I make an error.

The replacement ABS chrome “R” came today and I fixed the final R in Ranger. I love how it looks. I also love how so far people have not noticed the change. That is a good thing, as it means it fits right in and looks good. If it looked worse, or stood out, people would notice. Sometimes you want things to stand out, but I don’t think the lettering is one of them.
