Purchased a tonneau cover and a fire extinguisher mount from Mr. Bezos this morning. Looks like shipping is 7-10 days out, even for prime. Amazing how 10 years ago that would be okay. Now, if something isn't here in 2 days I start to go nuts ha.

Probably in the not so distant future, everyone will have a small teleporter connected to the computer. They'll probably go nuts if the package doesn't arrive in the next few minutes after ordering. ?

I've lived in the Caribbean for 9 years, so I missed that entire trend. Here, it use to be two weeks for anything, but hurricanes Irma and Maria destroyed all the post offices and the patterns things shipped here. It started getting normal again, then Covid has it all screwed up. People will send me things and tell me it's at the post office and I just laugh and laugh. 3 days to a month on even a letter. I know shipping routes now. Like "didn't make it on this ship" shipping. ?

Reminds me of the Ricky Gervis bit about internet on an airplane.

Oh and I forgot. Changed the oil over the weekend too. Castrol edge full synthetic for turbos and an extended filter. All in all, not too bad a job. I like being able to get under it without jackstands ha. That's a different story on my lowered mustang ha. I can see why so many of you have gone to the drain pan valve though, that may be in my future as well. I was going to catch a sample and send it to blackstone for analysis and to build a baseline. Got to talking with the old man and completely forgot. Emptied the whole pan ha. Oh well, I'll start it next time.

Damn! I have been dreaming of moving to the USVI when I retire from law enforcement in 8 years. How is it otherwise?

It's awesome man. I love it. You have to come with an open mind and know it's not going to be remotely like the states though. Like if that mail thing bothers you, it's only going to get worse. Spend a decent amount of time there first. I'm on St Croix and I love it. It's free. You don't mess up, you don't get in trouble. Of course you kill someone you probably don't get arrested lol. Lots of theft and need a ton of patience. Drive down the road and a car will just stop randomly to let a car out. It takes a special kind of person.

I'm trying to convince the wife. We live in the Atlanta metro area and people here are just dicks to each other. Especially on the road. I'm 40 right now and I know for sure I want to get out of my current profession while I'm still a viable adult and get into something new, preferably in the Caribbean. I'm hoping the USVI will be in the cards and my wife can work from home. I don't know what I'll end up doing but I'll find something!
