Yes they've screwed up the usb real good.

Browse > New search > scroll to the bottom and select Explore Device > Music folder, at this point I can see and select from the list of playlists I created on my ps3. Explore Device is the only way I can get to them. Every other option tells you Browsing currently unavailable.

Me too. Even when I'm parked. The only thing it will do with my USB stick of music is play all. Everything else I try says browsing is disabled.
Try the forced re-index through the Settings - Media Player menu. That might get it out of whatever odd state it’s in.

Can you still play media using voice? Browsing is just a shortcut to the screen, so that is expected to act the same as a UI search. Just curious. You can submit a bug report via the analytics & diagnostics menu.

I just checked and I don't have a media player menu under settings.

Source to USB first. It only becomes an active option when it's the active source.
Lol, just figured that out. Reindexing worked perfectly, Thanks!

Excellent. Not sure why it appears to be glitching with the "legacy" database, maybe something with that changed from v3.3 to v3.4.

So in reading through all of the posts in this topic, I'm currently using sync 3.3 and have 118 maps. What is the best way to go, update to sync 3.4 and then go to maps 119? Or should I just update to maps 119 knowing that I'll lose my climate controls on the touch screen, please let me know your thoughts, thanks much.

Yep, that's exactly the state mine is in, even after re-indexing the USB.

Do play voice commands work, or does it throw an error message?
I just re-indexed. It is now searching properly. Yes, the voice commands are working too. One thing about the voice commands though, If my iPhone is plugged in, when I push the Voice button on the steering wheel, Siri comes up, rather than the Sync voice menu.

EDIT: I should add, when Siri comes up, it searches my phone for music, rather than the USB.

I'd give it a day or two and try again. ThIs down time may be (I hope) to address an issue I found with some downloads.
Same issue today on Monday! I will try midnight as the traffic might be down a little??

You're holding the button down to trigger Siri and/or you're in CarPlay. To control USB music, you need to use the built in voice. So, quick press and release and/or exit CarPlay.

Yeah, no idea how long it'll end up being down at this point.
As an aside, appreciate all you've been doing to help everyone out here. Way above and beyond. :like:

How's the mood at HQ? Are these issues putting a bee in everyone's bonnet? Or is it just limited to Rangers at this point?

Hah. No worries, happy to help. The climate one is very unique to a subset of Rangers. Feeling special? The other stuff, at this point, seems to be a combination of the MY20 updates getting fixed, along with some maintenance activity. So, hopefully those will switch back on in the next few days once it's all cleared up.
