Jeez, I've got almost a 1000 miles since June 23rd. Of course, I find myself making excuses to drive and sometimes, just drive for the heck of it.

I did take it to a spray car wash Monday. I let it air dry and I'm not happy with the streaks. My GF laughs at me, because prior to this, I let the dealership wash my car for me when I took it in to get the oil changed.
It's funny when you have a vehicle you really love how much more you take care of it. I'm a detail fanatic anyways but with my Ranger I tend to get even more OCD! lol Being so hot here I have to wash mine either real early morning or late evening and even then it starts to dry super fast leaving spots. I have to constantly keep hosing it down to keep it from water spotting so I can dry each panel with a chamois.

There aren't any touch-less car washes around me so I always hand wash it. There is a self wash (with the wands) so if I need a quick touch up wash I'll go there but I always bring my chamois and dry it while I'm in the bay. My GF has learned not to go with me because she says I baby my truck more than her. :inlove::lipssealed:

It has never been to an automated car wash. Usually foam then light wash with very soft brush. Dry with microfiber towel. Some times a few sprays of Opticoat Hyper Seal as a drying agent to help maintain the ceramic coat. Getting ready to switch to Ceramic Pro Care spray only because that is what my local detail shop is selling now (He gives me a better price than I can get on the ol interweb) and I am almost out of Opticoat. After a year the Ceramic Pro still looks same as new.

That's HOT. We are getting to around 90 but our dew point is 74. That is a sauna.? Our newly mandated masks might be a bit uncomfortable.

I have asthma and wearing a mask is tough in this heat. I use to wear one a lot when I was working back east and don't know I how I did it with the humidity back there. Lucky the dew points and humidity are still low here but you're right it's hot! But I hate cold weather and it's better than freezing.

Thanks Bret! Besides going to work we've barely done anything. My girlfriend is working from home (in Chicago) so she got the ok to come out here and work. We're supposed to go up north the Flagstaff next Sunday to get out of the heat for a few days but not sure now. Figures now the virus is worse here than in Chicago!

That's funny. My brother lives in Florida when he comes here and its in the 40s he thinks its arctic.

If It was just up to me I would be somewhere warmer now that I am retired. It turns out that grandmas don't want to be that far away from the kids.

Looks like Az is getting hit pretty hard with the virus. Be safe. Stay healthy. Now they are saying that masks help prevent us from spreading and contracting the virus. ?

Hi Gregg,

It takes about three years and you become like Dave and me. Temp hit 70° and I am in long pants and long sleeve shirt. Also thinking about wearing cold weather gloves at below 60°

Relative to covid 19, AZ has the reported cases and testing increases parallel which means that the majority are newly discovered more than newly infected. Also baked in the total reported cases are those that are suspected and not yet verified which inflates it to a bit. That said, Wife and I are being very cautious.

Hi Phil,

It's funny because when I was back east I would still be in shorts and a a long sleeve shirt well into November. Not that I love the summer heat but once you get use to it I'm freezing in anything under 70. I do have a some winter cloths for those cold winter days here. ?

You guys are funny. Here in Iowa(fromWisconsin) During below zero I bundle up and run around in the woods just for fun! My wife thinks I nuts. Sixty degrees all year would be perfect.

You would hate it! I enjoy the change of seasons, from Spring, to a very brief Summer, to a gorgeous, colorful fall, to monochromatic, and bitterly cold Winter. It's the differences in seasons that makes it worth it.

I think I'll keep my heat and humidity. I'm like some of the Arizona guys, I freeze when it's below 70!
