Ok, so has the OP’s truck been modified by the dealer or a previous owner? It doesn’t look factory to me.

Maybe the talk of plasti-dip definitely implies some kind of post factory modification.

Confused minds want to know.

Edit: btw, the front lower valance is probably plastidip as well.....it should be silver but looks better black for sure. I guess he ran out before he got to the grille

My lower valance is Magnetic. I wish it was silver.

I am pretty sure the STX package has magnetic wheel trim and bumper accents. I'll have to find my window sticker, but I believe I selected that because it color matched to the rest of the truck. The black definitely looks like dip or weak bedliner to me.

so no pressure washer????? does anyone know what the magnetic colored wheel trim is? plastic or painted? I waxed it (not 303d like the rest of the trim) because it felt like paint to me. I really can't tell for sure paint or plastic????? I have the fx2 one with magnetic trim and wheels.

It's both painted, and plastic. The plastic is black, and they painted it magnetic.

Sorry to see your damage. I found out the hard way that the matte black on the frames between the front and back doors is very flimsy vinyl.

The good thing is you can peel that plastic right off and it's painted the color of your truck behind it. Several here have done it and it looks good,especially when you have tinted windows.

I've seen a ton of FX4 fleet vehicles around colorado actually.

Also, OP's black trim definitely doesn't look factory. From what I've seen the only models with black wheel trim from the factory are XL, like mine, and they're not nearly as textured as those pictures.
once you go to XLT they become body color along with the bumpers unless you get the sport appearance package, which makes them magnetic color (so still body color if your truck is magnetic).

look closely, because you have 3 different trucks here. first one looks like an STX (upgraded XL model) with black trim AND bumpers. the second one is a XLT with magnetic color trim and bumpers. 3rd one is a magnetic truck with what looks like magnetic color trim and bumpers. none of them have BLACK wheel trim with body or magnetic color bumpers.

I have a FX4 Standard trim level and all Fender trim is painted body color and looks like a good paint job. The bash plate did come body color and not silver but I prefer it that way. But the paint looks smooth and not textured.

It looks like your bash plate is silver. Your lower valance is black.

My mistake, I forgot you mentioned yours was an fx4. I prefer black but silver looks good too although I hate that it's painted....mine was silver and after rocks chipped it the primer/black plastic was revealed so I replaced it with an unpainted black one.
