If your fob has a dead or no battery it will start the truck, remove the rubber bottom in the cup holder and set the fob on that spot. My wife's Fusion has the same setup.Was cleaning out my car and pulled the cup holder inserts out to wash them off and noticed this embroidered key logo?![]()
I’m not sure if it’s ONLY for push-button starts (which I have so it’s on mine), but I actually tried to lift that rubber awhile ago and I guess my nails are too short to raise it. ….that only works with push button start?

Oh that makes sense. Cool man.It is also where the fob needs to be placed to program a new one to the truck, found that out when I added a third one.
