Odie is pretty lightweight, so I don't worry much about wear-and-tear. But once he discovered the heated seats, he didn't want to get out.

There are many brands of seat protectors that work well and are easy and quick to put in or out.

I have a hammock. My husky takes offense to riding in the back seat, the other two don’t mind unless I leave them alone in the car. With the cap they’ll probably ride back there.

They really do not take up much room and I do have a back seat cover so get around the dog hair problem

12 weeks old today, having a puppy is harder then having a new born. WOW, I forgot how much work and fun it could be. Baxter is awesome though.

Search under dog tube. Or car dog tube. Works well for my two Border Collies. But in the Ranger, they ride in the bed using dog crates.
