And where is that old gas station?
This was along the eastern side of Route 66. It was back in 2015, so I don't know exactly where. A friend and I took a motorcycle trip to ride in the Ozarks, then part of Blue Ridge Parkway, Tail of the Dragon, and the Route 66 from Chicago (where it starts on the eastern side) to Adrian TX (the midway point, marked by a line).

2014 Street Glide I have a much cooler an less comfortable seat on it right now for local riding. Did the cams myself an had the heads touched up. I added an amp an two Hertz speakers for a decent 2 speaker set up. It's fun but I'm out of the distance riding game now thanks to 2 shoulder surgeries. I did add air ride to it. This lets me set the height for ride comfort, adjust for a passenger an lower it for better footing to back it up.

I'll need to find pics but Yamaha RD400 '77, Honda CB750F '80 & Harley Shovelhead '84 with a no papers Honda CB500F '77.
The 750 has been from coast to coast, over 200k km, not bad for an air cooled bike. I no longer have the RD, was traded for the 750. I'm surprised I'm still alive after the RD, as it was my first bike.

I think I posted a lot of my bikes in the other "Motorcycle BS Thread" but here's an action pic or 2 that I haven't posted yet.. I'm on the bike with the eyes, that's a race prepped Ninja 300... with more suspension upgrades on it than the bike itself it worth. Bike Below that is my first Triumph 675 triple.

My two current bikes:
2017 Suzuki DL 650 V-Strom; 1980 Kawasaki KZ750E. Both bought new. Kayzie is getting hard to find good parts for; switchgear plastic pieces are disintegrating. Camera distance is about as close as I can get without capturing the rust patina on the brightwork, but I will never sell her. D'Elle is a great all around bike, actually pretty good on gravel. The 2015 Flex came before the 2018 Escape which came before the 2021 Ranger.

I traded my 2001 Kawasaki ZX-11D for the V-Strom. Glorious bike, but It was getting more uncomfortable riding in a semi-tuck position. Bought new also:

my 2022 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro.... it doesn't fit in the back of the ranger without resting on the tailgate :(
Same with my V-Strom, even in a 6'box. It doesn't put much weight on the tailgate, and it is concentrated near the box so there isn't much strain on the cables; I can lift the T'gate slightly before strapping it down. I have 3pc 10ft Black widow ramps that fit along side.

Mmmm. '84 RZ350 here. Power valves, performance reeds, expansion chambers, and the ultra-rare solo seat cowl from the factory. I hunted 600 Hurricanes and Ninjas back in the day and left them in a cloud of blue smoke thinking WTF!

i think with the bike in diagonally i might be able to achieve that on the 5 ft ranger bed. i was just always afraid to try it. def can't do it straight as the tiger 900 rp's length is approx 90 inches.

those black widow ramps are NICE!!
