I was washing my truck. And I opened the hood with the windshield wipers still up. Added a nice couple paint chips right on the edge of the hood. I am too embarassed to take a pic, but I will when I get home from work today. Need to break the dr color chip back out...

Just a reminder to not be as dumb as me. The 303 nano graphene detailer is absolutely amazing stuff. Paint looks incredible.

If this is the dumbest thing you’ve ever done you live a charmed life! ??? Wouldn’t make my annual list…I’m not very smart and I’m unlucky!

Jim, this may make you feel better. This was not the dumbest thing you’ve done. It’s the dumbest thing you have done…so far.

Took the glove box out today, and then took another video from the same spot, but I had my hand poking around underneath at the same time, so I could look back and see if I was anywhere near it. After watching the video I realized the first image made it look much deeper than it actually was, and was just sitting on the side of the glove box frame. Looked back in, and there it was, no more tools needed.

Woot woot!!

Obviously wasn't a 10mm else you never would have gotten it back.

"Never would have gotten it back" doesn't translate in my language anymore than "I need a damper". Both are just crazy talk, lol.
Agree with the damper. It's a want, not a need. Like power windows and seats and heated seats and steering wheel...

Not even a want. It's a hindrance more like taking the air out of your tires, or locking the keys inside. LOL

Oh man, that reminds me of another dumb thing I've done with my life, I was roughly 13-14 and we had a 1968 ford f100 farm truck, one day my sister (Aged 10-12) and I took off in it running around the gravel roads when I decided to give that old straight 6 all of the onions getting it up to around 80mph, I then took the un bolted steering wheel completely off the column and handed her the wheel

Some of you may remember a gas company paid for my truck dents repair.
What you don’t know is I was so surprised of first hit from propane storage door and tried again if it really reached to my truck. Oh, it sure did!

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I opened my tailgate against the closed garage door to get to the the bed cover latch to access the swing case, as I was putting the item right back (sure) I left it open, wife comes out to go shopping and hits the garage door opener :headbang: needless to say I now have my 1st scratch.

Reason #37 to back in the garage, or #163 not to live with women ;)

Just kidding of course, hope it's not too bad.

Clearly your wife's fault and not yours :lipssealed:

Let’s see now…..
-Dropped a tree across the hood of a leased Kia many years ago.
-Recently unlatched and left unattended the soft tonneau while at the lumber yard on a windy day. Wind caught it and now I have a nice line of dents across my roof.

The full list is extensive…..

I guess that is worse than closing the door when the tail gate is down since the garage door has auto reverse.

Not that I've ever done that.
