FYI Ranger OEM sensors are Motorcraft TPMS-42. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZ2Y1DW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I purchased a set of "take off" Ranger rims, and had the new TPMS-42 sensors installed along with snow tires. I'm able to swap tire / rims each season without any TPMS re-training required. Just need to drive for 5 or 10 minutes after tire swap over and all is good!
Was a learning/programming tool used initially on the second set of sensors?

Thats for adding air! ?

If you're using that to add air you're going to have a bad time.

==================================================================

No training tool required.. If you use the Ford OEM (Motorcraft) TPMS sensors, they are automatically picked up by your truck's TPMS receiver including wheel location.

Its a general statement, I use my compressor with a digital tire gauge/tire valve.

I can confirm on my 2021 the TPMS will relearn after a few miles of driving. I mounted my winter tires today, using a set of OEM sport 17" wheels and OEM TPMS sensors (both lightly used). The truck learned the new set on the drive home from the tire shop.

Now, I can't decide if I like my BAP 18" wheels more than the Magnetic Sport 17" wheels, lol. Both look awesome :)
