Avoid RainX wipers at all cost !
Total garbage after 8k miles.
And I live in South Texas where rain doesn't happen every day, or every week, or every month.

...also, the plastic clip that locks the wiper to the wiper arm pops open. A lot.

I'm never buying that junk again. I really expected better from RainX.

Now I'm wondering what to replace them with... the Ceramic Coated blades or the HD Truck blades ?
🤔

Sun and heat eat them up too, even if you don't use them a lot.

I've been fully converted to Bosch wiper blades, i had a set on my Focus ST for 3 years in the Seattle area before they needed to be replaced. Didn't get quite the same abuse in the sun as other places, but they didn't streak for 3 years so I call that a win. I briefly tried some other brands of wipers on my ranger, (some scrub blade that had two blades on it?) but went back to Bosch and they've been golden for at least 2 years here in New Mexico.

2023 Ranger…. I live in Southern California. Is there any particular brand of windshield wiper that is better than the rest? most likely I will hit up AutoZone parts store.Thank you.
I just put NAPA wipers on and used them today. Nice!

I use the Michelin Guardian+ from Costco, $7.99 each when on sale. Work great and cheap enough to replace if they get smeary. I usually replace them at least once a year.

Funny enough, I got the top end RainX ones too and one of the clips broke off on my drivers side wiper. The wiper itself still felt secure so it has been on for about a year that way.

I can't even remember when they were replaced but I think the OEM ones only lasted 1 year and then put the RainX ones on, they are likely 3 years old. Still working well besides the clip.

Note: I am in Vegas so it is toasty in the summer. Cold and dry in the winter. I also use them every time I go through a car wash to help keep them clean which is once a week usually.

Good idea. I am not in the habit of just cleaning the blades, unless there is something causing them to streak, but I always hit them good with the water at the do-it-yourself car wash.

Started using 303 on them last year after washing truck. Maybe it helps, maybe doesn't, but I'm definitely leaning to it helps prolong the life of the wipers. I'll be continuing to do this until I'm convinced its not doing any good.

I’ve had good luck with Scrubbables. They were priced similar to other blade, when I looked.
I tried these too, but they didn't last a year for me and did a piss poor job in general. Maybe i just had a bad batch, but they were awful for me.

Mine are still good 2 years in Colorado. Lots of dust, mud, and snow/ice.
Maybe they're better for that, i had them when i was still in Washington where they got a lot of use in rain. Maybe i'll give them a shot again now that i'm in New Mexico, but my Bosch are still going strong.

My unfiltered Opinion
They all suck.
I buy cheap and know just like any replacement part, I’m replacing wipers at least once a year.
Sure seems that way….. I hated buying a expensive set like around $75 and then when I first use them on the same day, they seem like they’re rock hard plastic. What a pisser!!!
