Wifi Won't Connect?

It felt like I wasn't up to date for some reason so I checked the wifi connection from the truck (2021 Ranger XLT) and it was using some old wifi network. I tried to connect it to our home wifi at both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands, making sure password is correct (why can't we have a show password button which is safe if I'm inside my own garage??) and my vpn, etc are turned off. It won't connect. SYNC Can't Connect to the Network. I checked the 'i' button, signal is very strong. MY network name/SSID is not hidden, password is just numbers and letters, no special characters, not excessively long just 8-10 chars. Any way to fix this?

My wifi signal from inside the house was too weak, so I used my cell phone as a "hotspot" wifi signal and I just recently upgraded my Sync system. If that works, be sure to charge your phone as you download and install the files.

I'll try that. I'll note that it had worked before, different wifi network but it had connected at some point when I owned this vehicle. I'll try the hotspot instead.

If you have a mesh router you may need to disable that as well as the fast handoff. That worked for me. Also see if you can change your subnet mask from 255.255.255.0 to something else.

As @SDXLT said, if using a Mesh Network, Fast handoff/roaming may need to be disabled. I found this post and turned off Fast Roaming as described by SteveMat72 in the last post: Reddit Article
Worked for me.

I had to turn on guest network and have no password.
