Why does Ford Pass say I need an oil change?

According to Fordpass, when I changed my oil 3 weeks ago I had 3000 miles to go and the expected date was in August. I changed the oil on 4/7. I held the reset counter in the truck and FordPass knows the oil is new and now says I have 97% remaining, but It also wants me to make plans to get the oil changed on 5/24. Do you have any ideas why the calendar date would be so short? Is there a way to set the current date in the dashboard that could be wrong?

Why does Word, Excel, or the touchscreen on an iPad freeze up? You can likely thank a Scrum Master or some over-rated Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt who delivered a Minimum Viable Product with a gazillion bugs in it because that’s all they were required to do.

Pffft, how can you tell I’m happy as heck to be out of the corporate world? ?

There’s likely a cling sticker on your windshield or door jamb - I’d refer to that before relying on FordPass.

Most likely by your odometer data, not from the Oil Life itself
I got that as well, then uploaded the oil change in maintenance records and I stopped getting the notifications.

Job security. If the program works perfectly first run, they don't need you anymore.

Over the past 40 years I worked for 4 companies where I held either a Green Belt or Black Belt certification. These certifications are something you do above and beyond your daily job functions. I can say unequivocally that no Scrum Master or Black Belt has ever been responsible for delivering a product. The purpose of those functions is to facilitate a team looking to solve a problem or make an improvement.

Must be an app-wide push because I got the same notification and I had to double-check my Oil life monitor because I too performed a self-service and reset a few weeks ago. All is well.

Well... Except for our faith in Ford service.

Wow, you brought me back with Six Sigma! Kate was a team working with Dallas defense contractors that won the Malcolm Baldrige Award back in the day. Not saying any of her old gang owe her favours, but be careful about anything bad you might say about Soupie ... =D

And, unfortunately, I live in a scrum world daily ... =(

You called it. I dove a couple of miles today and opened the app and the words changed in front of my eye from the alert to make an appointment to "good". Now I need an oil change next march just like it should be.
