Who knows headlights??

So I installed the Morimoto XB headlights and realize I have a problem with the passenger side. When the headlights are turned on they work fine, but when the day runners are on the passenger side doesn’t come on. Also the passenger side blinker is glitchy. It’s super choppy instead of nice smooth chase effect like the drivers side.
Anyone have any ideas or advice?

I'm not positive on this but it is a possibility there could be a problem inside the headlight assembly. It would be in your best interest to contact Morimoto directly and contact her technical department. There are some possible steps they will lead you through and depending on the results you will most likely get a replacement headlight assembly.

I was sort of hopeful it’s just a DRL cable issue and maybe need a replacement cable? Possible that could be causing it??
I reached out to stage 3 because that’s who I bought them from. Wonder if I should also contact Morimoto like you said, since they’re the manufacture?

It is possible it could be something else other than the headlight assembly. Again like said the best thing you can do is contact the technical support at Morimoto because they know it better. Worst case scenario you are replacing a headlight assembly. Best case scenario you just have a bad connection somewhere

How did you wire the drl? If you tapped into any other lights in anyway, including the side markers, it may cause that malfunction. I’ve seen it on other threads on this forum. I wired my drl on my headlights to the battery and tapped a fuse. Works perfectly. I also had to make sure to turn off the “drl” in the truck computer, because this caused them to no come on at all.

With the key in run(does not matter if truck is running or not) go to the setting menu in the instrument cluster. You will find the DRL setting and that is where you can turn it off

Problem fixed!!!! The drl cable had a slight bend in the pin. Straightened it out and voika.
