Today is N'tl PU truck day, also n'tl absinthe day, but don't drink and drive, esp that green sh#t , IIRC it was outlawed in the US for a long long time. Don't think there is a n'tl damper day, thankfully

Key Details About National Pickup Truck Day (March 5):
  • Origin: Initiated around 2018 to fill the void of a dedicated truck day.
  • Significance: Celebrates the pickup truck as a staple of American life.
  • Celebration: Owners often spend the day cleaning, showcasing, or utilizing their trucks for work or leisure.

Maybe that's why I got the urge to change the oil.

So what's in the picture? Reminds me of antifreeze and some pellets Cadillac used to put in the HT4100 engine radiators to stop coolant leaks back in the 80's. Didn't have the aluminum to steel mating surfaces down pat yet. Blew my back out replacing head gaskets and changing engines on those POS engines.
Or maybe a cocktail and cake cube?

I remember there being a radiator powder back in the day.

I think it’s Absinthe and sugar cubes.

I thought they outlawed Absinthe due to hallucinations? And the GM coolant leak pellets were round and about the size of the radiator throat. 6 to a package, toss em all in,

My parents drank those and whiskey sours. They didn't drink much.
They weren't that bad tasting but a little too sweet for me with the Mellon liqueur and orange juice. I like straight whiskey or bourbon but not whiskey sours. 🥃

I went out to celebrate this special day. It went about as well as you’d expect.
