im on board with it. just need the american history flash cards to by a lil trailer. i despise tents and hate screwing with them roof top or other wise me and tents are not friends lol.
NW Florida/Georgia (Columbus area) camping is always done best in the dead of winter, the colder the better (no bugs or snakes ever). The coldest it once got was 19deg F. Not tents at all (totally agree w/Mark), just a good sleeping bag that can handle below freezing temps. We always check the weather carefully, never been rained on, been doing it for years. It does help that we are all pyromaniacs...big big hardwood fires are a must. The only problem with that is a steadfast rule that the first person who wakes up to process water has to restart the fire, so everyone waits to see who hold outs the longest LOL. I lost once...

I originally wanted a GFC but the long lead times, and logistics of getting it since I live in Florida made it a no-go for now. So I built this. Leer topper and a TopperEZlift. So far its been working great. I built a platform in the back to sleep on and there is a ton of room for gear.

I don't think I am overlanding, but I am doing what I can to keep the truck busy on weekends. Looking forward to more fun in 2022!

This link does a pretty decent job of describing what they are and what they are best suited for.
That was a good article. One of the members here, @RoadBoss has a review of his swag here: . The article also mentions the Nemo Wagontop 4p tent, which I've been using for a couple years and highly recommend as a ground tent. It's a great option if you want room to stand and use cots for added comfort. I normally set up a base camp with my Nemo and then head out for the day hiking and driving trails. Its like coming home to a hotel room, and takes up little space when packed away.

I considered the swag, but they don't make one a good size for a wife and child (don't have a child yet, but I know it's in my future)
just FYI, I have my own line of swags on the way that I'll be selling. I have a huge 1550mm wide (about 61") model, as well as 1200mm (47"), and the typical 900mm (about 36") single. Should be here hopefully by the end of January.

Mods, if this goes against forum rules feel free to delete, but just thought it was relevant to the post.

Got the Ranger in May and probably spent 30+ days in the wilderness this summer. Looking forward doing more next year!

I've had mine out on 2, 3-week trips up to the Sierras. After the first trip, I sold the lousy Hankook tires and put on KO2s like I had on my Tacoma. It also has Firestone air bags in the back and the FP tune.

WhAT SIZE HC do you have? I really like the adventure series I picked up, but I’m wanting to upgrade next year to a larger 63 or 80 high country so I can fit the whole fam.

I overland with a group of friends in the Ozarks. I just use a ground tent. I would love a swag. I like the ARB skydome…

These pics are oddly the best I have. Two different campsites In Arkansas. My tent is the green Gazelle tent.

What bumper is this? Do you have a straight from the front, but down lower view of this bumper?
I do, Its a Warn Ascent that pretty much went straight in. Fiddly bit is moving all the electronics over from the stock unit. The relocation of the radar head to the underside of the Baha Bar bracket went smoother than anticipated. Simply did a couple minor mods to the stock bracket and then when finalized, plumbed the head with the stock adjustment screw and done. Works fine. If you'd like progressive photos of this install, let me know. Had to extend the wiring a foot too; should you need to do this, twist the pair for noise cancellations issues.
