WHITE PLATINUM Ranger Club Thread

Picked up our new 2019 4x2 today. It was manufactured Oct 1, 2019. Only disappointment was that the seats are missing the embroidered RANGER on the back, like the 2020’s. The good thing is that the navigation maps are the 18 version so I don’t have to mess with that again. It looks identical to our totaled truck.

After going over our new truck with a clay bar to clean all the rail road crap off of the paint before applying the PPF and sealant, I did notice that the paint job on this new truck is quite a bit better than the one we totaled. Our totaled truck had a lot of dark gray specs between the base coat and clear coat. I clay bared it as well. These specs were pretty much distributed all over the truck. This new one is spec free and the paint is super smooth with no orange peal, the way it should be.

Where’s all the White Platinum out there? I gave mine the clay bar, hydroslick & seal ‘n shine treatment and the colour looks absolutely amazing in the sun. My other tricoat white ride is in the reflection, a Crystal White Pearlcoat Mazda 3 GT-E.

Unassisted. No spotter needed.

I'm glad this Ranger has power folding mirrors. No need to get out.

I'm late here to the White Platinum Club.

My wife and I like white. Her Santa Fe is Quartz White.

I was leaning towards Oxford White until we drove and saw
White Platinum in sunlight. More $$$, but worth it. We plan to keep our Ranger for many years.

SCab's are not plentiful. Found nothing close to what I wanted.

Special ordered in late February . . . then pandemic

Finally built in mid June, arrived at the dealer on July 4th. Fireworks were launched everywhere celebrating the arrival !

2020 Lariat SCab, 501A, FX4, Sport, Tow, Toughbed Spray-in liner.

Still haven't found the "SCrew only" B&O Sound System I paid for.

Upgrades added by dealer prior to delivery:

• Ford Fox 2.0 Leveling kit
• Toyo Open Country LT265/70 R17 tires
• Window tint (lifetime guarantee)
• 3M PPF on everything facing forward and sides up to the fold
• Tailgate lettering
• Tailgate damper (dealer added for free, didn't tell me, I was surprised to find it during pre-delivery inspection)

Pleased with all dealer installed upgrades. Especially the leveling kit and Toyo tires which are much better than FX4 suspension on stock Hankook tires.

Recent upgrades include:

• Husky Liners X-ACT Contour
• Rokblokz XL mud guards (black/black logo)
• Bushwacker Trail Armor Rocker & Door Sill Protectors
• Dawn Enterprises Body Side Moldings (color matched)
• LED puddle lights
• LED smoked side marker lights
• Center console organizer tray
• USB LED reading lamp (thanks Phil !)

On the way:

• Quick charge 3.0 dual USB with digital voltage readout (replacing one lighter socket)
• CupHolderHero liner kit
• FORScan adapter
• Grill letter inserts

Looking for:

• Tonneau cover
• Bed rack w/RTT or popup truck camper

This truck is FUN TO DRIVE !!! (and easily fits in our garage)

Beautiful truck! I think that’s the first white platinum Supercab I’ve seen, you can’t even buy one in Canada If you wanted one.

Ok, here she is! Delivered last week

2020 Lariat FX4, no other options except WP paint

first things we did...

• Got it a bit dirty
• Washed it
• Pulled off the FX4 decals (like the cleaner look, to my eyes the decal is err cheesy)
• Put a coat of NuFinish on it

Next week, dealer will add

• Cooper ATS 4S +1".
• Plastic Bed Liner
• Lo Pro Bed Cover

Some day in the future thinking about...

• Ford/Fox or Old man EMU shocks
• Do something about that chrome grill
• Maybe custom it up with a dark blue hood stripe different or platidips wheels...etc..

Yeah you can tell a lot of thought went into that truck. Esp. like the monochrome FX4 decal you must have put on yourself.

Mine is identical except:
A.R.E. cap with roof racks
I already have the two swing cases installed
My bedrug is the carpet style.
NO black appearance package (wish I had it)

I have the A.R.E. Z2. No opening side windows.

Had a problem with leaks in the front until they re-installed it. Now it's fine. The cap itself is very solid and well built although others have mentioned poor quality.

The plastic coating on the cross bars on the roof rack split and are being replaced under warranty.

After the initial frustration about the leaking, I like it.

Wow, I love your truck! I wish Platinum white could have been on an XLT.
I see you listed a 2.0 level kit from dealer. Can you please give some info on what that is for the Ranger? I had a 2015 Colorado and put a level kit on it but dealer wouldn't do it, had to go to automotive garage or do myself which I did at our shop. Is the Ford 2.0 level kit 2" for the front only? THANKS!!
