We are also into jeeps…. Most jeeps are marked up between seven to $10,000 and they sell them all day long to suckers. The Rangers, I looked at at the different dealers about eight months ago, were marked up five grand but they were willing to split the difference with me. Ha ha ha ha ha.. We have purchased two Fords from Granger Ford in Iowa this year and we live in Los Angeles California. Our two Jeeps come from Peterson Dodge & Jeep in Nampa, Idaho……. Also 5-7k below sticker. On the Jeep websites there are spreadsheets with about 12 jeep dealers across the US that have the same deal. I was hoping this ranger site also had a spreadsheet of all the dealers that give discounts on Ford’s..
Jeep, Stelantis, Fiat, Dodge, whatever they call themselves have always been cheaper to buy with better incentives.

The best way to get a good deal from a Ford dealership nowadays is certainly to order from them. Anything on the lot will be MSRP at a minimum.

You'll be able to find a dealer that will get close to Granger on an XPlan eligible order. But the Ranger is but a small segment of Ford. If you want some spreadsheet of frugal dealerships, you won't find it here. Try a big market vehicle specific forum. Think Mustang, Bronco, F-150.

You are kind of wrong….. or I did not communicate it correctly. Almost 8 months ago we went to the dealer just to look at one before ordering it from Granger in Iowa. We picked her up two weeks ago yesterday from Granger.
Just my memory mucking up the details.

But I still think you'd be much happier in a Lariat. Although the LED delete puts a damper on that as well.

Without additional manufacture (ie Ford) cash back offers, there's not 5K to get below MSRP on a 35K MSRP Ranger. Even with Granger's 3% below invoice, you are looking at a little over 2K off MSRP.

FYI, I just took delivery from Granger on a Feb 2022 order. There was 5K for me, but it was $2250 Ford offers, $750 MSRP bump from order date that was price protected, and a little bit over 2K from the 3% under invoice.

Thank you for confirming what I was trying to find out. We picked up a F150 this last February from Granger also and then two weeks ago we picked up this Ranger from Granger...

Unless you are near Granger Ford, your best bet may be an X-Plan order through a local dealer. If you do not qualify for X-Plan through your employer, you can join Mustang Club of America and wait 90 days to get your X-Plan pin number.

How much is X Plan discounted from sticker or invoice?

It's based-on Invoice:

X-Plan = 99.6% of Invoice Plus $275.00 Program Fee, plus $100.00 Paperwork Processing Fee
as far as I can remember, and if you include any add on (options- Like Tow Package etc.) it is factored at a different percentage (I think)

Around here most dealerships don't honor X-Plan with the current market as it is

For my Ranger, it was better not to use X-Plan with the 1,000-order incentive as of Feb 22, when I ordered truck

I was all excited about using X-Plan but realized that it was not much of a discount at all, all of my co-workers agreed as they as well attempted to use it.
From what I gathered in talking to different dealers, they HATE X-Plan and attempt to discourage you using it
This was my personal experience with it

I do AGREE 100%, you will get a better deal if you order and (Wait) as Dealer Ordered Rangers are selling for 10 K - OVER Invoice and Used ones are selling for 35,000 Plus (Lariats) with 15 to 50 K Miles on them. I paid out the door for my truck right at 40K, but I waited 7 months from order date to pick it up (with the Unwanted LED delete), I tried very hard to get dealer and corp to make the truck the way I had ordered to no avail (they do not care). I could have walked away but only would be screwing myself - It would cost me MORE to get a Dealer Ordered Ranger (With the LED) that's how I know about the current dealer lot prices around me. So, I just accepted and moved on (enjoying truck without LED's:mad:)

It appears al lot of members here have purchased from Granger Ford, must be getting some great deals to be willing to drive long distances to pick it up. I wish I would have known before I purchased to see if I could have gotten a better deal

That’s me in post 19. Granger is 3% plus incentives below invoice. We purchased a F150 this last February from them and two weeks ago we purchased our ranger from them. We are also into jeeps. On the jeep websites there are spreadsheets of at least a dozen dealers in the US that give 6 to 8% below invoice. I was hoping to find a Ford spreadsheet of a dozen dealers that do the same in the US but it looks like Granger’s number one. We live in Los Angeles California and Granger is a 24 Hour drive which we do in three 8 hour days getting home. We absolutely love flying out there and then taking this beyond beautiful beautiful beautiful drive home with two overnighter stays. It is beyond an excellent drive home from Granger to Los Angeles. Looking forward to doing it again in months.

Outside of the Granger deal, I was not able to get a Phoenix area dealer to beat the X-Plan price. I would have ordered through Granger, but X-Plan was cheaper when I factored in the cost of a long road trip or having it shipped. Also, I thought with X-Plan you got all the rebates you qualified for. I know that I got the rebate on my Ranger when I purchased it with X-Plan. Also, the $100 doc free was a $400 to $500 savings off the standard dealer doc fee that is charged by local dealers near me.
