Depends on who you talk to and how the moon is aligned with mars. I have them, but I don't go off-roading and as long as you go with a good company and check your torque specs you should be fine.

I’ve offroaded with them in my Xj for a few years, and had them in the Ranger for a few months (offroad too). I ended up getting offset rims for the simplicity and new looks.
Install it correctly and use a good brand (i used Spidertrax for the XJ and Bora for Ranger) if you go with spacers (or offset wheels for that matter…).

I’ve had 1” Bora on my 19’ FX4 Lariat for over a year with zero issues. Except a slight drop in MPG’s. My

Some people on RangerG5.com:

"Spacers are dangerous, you should never alter your factory specs"

Also same people on Ranger5G.com:

"Check out my new suspension"

Just use common sense. If you can buy 4 spacers on Amazon/eBay for $60.00 where do you think they originated from and the quality? Whatever you get use proper torque specs, get hub-centric, get one-piece cnc machined, and I also suggest red loktite. Before I got my RTR 0+ wheels I was running 2" spacers on factory sport wheels. Zero problems.

I have Eibach Pro spacers, that have a TUV for the Ranger. They make them in 21, 25 and 30mm only. H&R makes them in the same sizes only. I do not know if there is a caution hidden advice that we should not go beyond this. Other brands like Bora (which we cannot get in Europe) makes them on order. There are other brands like Japan Racing wheels, that do make them in 50mm. And of course Ebay stuff ...

I've had 1" Venum wheel spacers installed on stock 18"s for about 12K miles now. Never had a single issue with them both on or off road. Wheels are balanced and rotated by Discount every 3K and they check the mounting studs to make sure the spacer lug nuts are properly torqued each time and so far none have been loose. Really improves the look of the truck with the wheels pushed out to the edge of the fenders.

I've had the 1" Bora spacers on my Ranger for close to 2 years with no issues. Use a quality part if you decide to install spacers.

I'd like to say just one thing on spacers. For those going with 1/4" spacers, you are using the factory wheel studs and taking away 1/4 inch of threads for the wheel fasteners. And they're not hub centric, so it's not a good idea.
