I ran 1.25” hub centric wheel spacers on my jeep for 7 years w/o any problems. If the install is done correctly there should be no concern.

That was the key term I was looking for. If they are hub centric you will be better off. If they are not then you are asking for issues. Ford has been making their trucks with hub centric wheels for a few decades now.
