My first daily driver was a 1967 Mustang, I bought it a few months before my 16th birthday in 1981. Had it for 25 years until I was rear ended in 2006, which totaled the car. I then bought a 68 which I still have today.

Imagine the Pinto scared and shocked a lot of racers .
It was pretty quick. 289, solid lifter, 4 speed and 4.56 gears. And it was my daily driver during trade school. Pretty radical for the times. 1972.

Way back in 1979 I drove a '74 Mustang II Mach I in Grabber Blue. (Yes it was a fun car) It took me from NJ to KS my first real job out of college. Before that my learner family car was a plain jane automatic column shift 1970 Torino 302 2V.

1990 F150. When we went to the city to get the topper we walked across the highway to a shopping centre to find some wedding rings. Family had all kinds of fun adventures in the mountains with that truck. Had a ceiling rack in the cab for my cowboy hat. One of the babies slithered out of her car seat in the back when I undid her harness on a logging road but I caught her just before she hit the gravel. First heard “I’m my own grandpa” on a long work drive in that truck, still remember the road I was on sitting there laughing. Went to minivans when the babies got older, now they’re grown and gone I’ve got the Ranger.
