What was your first Ford daily driver?

A 1963 Mercury Monterey with a 390. Got a whole 6 mpg and had a rear window that slid down. Great winter car. Hand me down from my dad.
Then a 1967 Ford Galaxy 500 fastback with a 390 that got 6 mpg also but was fun. That had a 25 gallon fuel tank that would get you about 125 miles ?.

At least gas wasn’t $4 per gallon back then.

It was less then 50 cents a gallon but the minimum wage I was making was only a little over a dollar. Same as today, work an hour and buy 2 gallons of gas after taxes ?. Then we had gas rationing based on if your plate number was a odd or even number so a big tank helped.

I was to young to drive but I do remember sitting in those long lines with my parents back then. Scary to think it could happen again now.

I understand it's already happening at the EV charging stations. The difference is that back then people were friendly and respected the law.

I wasn't aware of the EV problems but I have seen headlines where there are diesel shortages in parts the east coast. Sadly manners and politeness seem to have gone out the window now a days.

My first Ford was a 1985 Ford Ranger in 1988 when I was 16. It had a Toyota seat in it so it sat kinda low.

Being a company car, I didn't own it.
But garaged at home. During the work week, effectively it was my daily driver.
My personal "weekend"cars were and still are Toyota FJ45 and Mercedes 1017A
During the subsequent 40 years numerous Ford or Chevy vans were my company car.
That experience firmly taught me to NEVER own a GM vehicle for myself.
Nowdays the Ranger does the daily driver job. Toyota and Mercedes more or less retired to hobby car status.
