Jamie, are you talking about the black space between the front door window and rear door window? If so, and you can’t get it cleaned off, that is simply a vinyl wrap and it’s painted your truck’s colour underneath. Simply peel it off from inside the door frame.

Really? You sure? Got me thinking now.

Anyone have any pics of a truck with that wrap removed?

I ordered my 2021 Ranger in Carbonized Grey. I'm happy with it, but it was neck and neck with Cactus Grey for a long time. I would've ordered Area 51 if it had been available or Hot Pepper Red, which was not an option in 2021

That's twice what GMC charges for all paint except Summit White.

If you can’t fix it, ask Steve (@Grumpaw ) how easy it was to remove - piece of cake. I think it looks great without it. I’d remove mine but it wouldn’t really make a difference on my black truck.

Oh, and I guess I could have also responded to the ops question.

Mine was blue, blue, or blue. Zero other option. Only the 3rd vehicle I've ever ordered. First two ordered were the first two new vehicles I ever bought.. First was black, second was blue, then my blue Ranger. All others have been bought off the lot. And over the years I could NEVER find blue on the lot.

So when it came time for a Ranger I was determined to order it for a variety of reasons. And color was definitely one of those reasons. Wife did not want me to order blue. Said it was too bright for a truck. And I rarely, rarely, very rarely just put my foot down with the warden. But for the blue Ranger I flat out shut that conversation down. BLUE. Period.

Ironically once she actually saw the truck she really liked the blue. Said it looks so much better in person versus Ford's website.

When we went to pick it up, even the folks at the dealership were talking about the color. Said all they ever had was white, black and gray. Because those "safe" colors sell. Sales Mgr. told me that Ford had just notified him that he could order one more 2023 Ranger for stock. Said he was going to order blue. I figured he was kissing my ass since I was there picking up my truck. But a few months later they had a '23 on the lot. It was velocity blue.

First throw that old paste wax out and jump into the 21st century with some 303 Graphene. ? You can spray it on everything from plastic, rubber trim, headlights and all the glass. It'll protect it and wipe right off without leaving a white film.

As far as the dried wax you can try a Magic Eraser and if that doesn't work this stuff will . It will also restore any fading black plastic too.

Plus, if you're a lazy bastard like me, you can even put the graphene on with some water beads. I don't dry too well and a little water doesn't seem to be bad for the 303 graphene.

Use gloves and I like using a microfiber sponge to apply it. Spray it into the sponge, not onto the truck, it'll make little black specks all over the place, just my 2 cents.

And a little goes a long way.

I wanted either red or black and I wanted dealer stock but Ford didn’t offer a red similar to the colour of my 2001. The only Scab I could find in red was HPR and that didn’t appeal to me so my choice was then limited to Shadow Black.

I’m also fine with the effort needed to keep a black vehicle looking good - my 1996 Ranger was black and my Passat is black so I’m used to the extra work required.

Then Race Red came out a couple of years later and now I’m all jelly of Soupie and the others. ?

Pretty tough to beat the look of your truck Duke! It's one of the sharpest I've ever seen!

Off topic, but I went to Road America for the IMSA race this past weekend. I camped there, so I had to reserve a camping site for $70, oh, and a mandatory camping wrist band for $75, plus the general admission pass.

Heat gun/Hair dryer to loosen up the adhesive.

Since yours is new, it will most likely peel right off and not even leave any residue.

Already did. White vinegar was a commonly mentioned solution. So good to go.

While I am still chewing on the idea, I am about 99% sure my Ranger is soon going to have even more blue.

What if you did NOT get the color of your truck, which color would you choose?

i wanted cactus grey or the pepper red what ever its called that deep burgundy red they did.

any color thou? for sure that dark green on the splash package
