Would you mind taking a short video of the boot up? Mine takes about 20 seconds.
I think my Sync3 takes that long to boot up. 20 seconds is too long?!?

Once Sync is open the AirPlay is on the screen.

I have a smart home setup and Siri controls my garage door. When CarPlay boots up, there is a button in the bottom right that I press to close my garage door. Is 20 seconds too long? Not particularly. Would I like it to boot faster? Yes. When plugged directly in, there is 1-2 seconds lag, so... much quicker. My lag is the boot time of the wireless CarPlay device.

I timed it about 5 seconds from turning the ignition key to see the airplay screen...

Hope this helps!

I just ordered one. I can always return it if it’s not better than the one I have. I’ll report back.

Good luck! Wasn't a big fan of airplay before, but my wife's Lexus runs it and I have gotten "used" to it...

And with wireless, I don't mind so much. One trick was to use the Sync map while connected... I disconnected the dongle on the iPhone to get to SYNC Map, which by the way connects by WIFI, I don't see a car connection by BT. Had a devil of a time to reconnect but used the Sync reset to "reinstall" the dongle. All good!

Good luck!

Colo_Ranger,

First of all, gorgeous truck. For you and the group...

I recommend Tailwind for your garage doors. It's a garage door opener add-on in which you put a small transceiver puck in your vehicle and it automatically opens and closes your garage door when you drive up or leave. I have a puck in each vehicle and they work great. I installed it because a complex reason with electro-magnetic interference in my garage and a point to point wifi receiver in my detached garage. Bottom line: My evil wife didn't like having to be 3 feet from the garage door to use her Homelink to open the door so now when she approaches my very long driveway it opens. BREAK. When she leaves, it closes when she's 400m down the road. It's pretty legit and I use it in all my vehicles.

Just an option. https://gotailwind.com/

I have Home Assistant setup, as my home was built with smart light switches. I've put a lot of effort into being able to control lights, outlets, my thermostat, and my garage door from Siri (I could use Google if I had an Android). I got the new adapter (the one I was using was 3 years and 4 models old and wasn't getting updates anymore) and it boots a lot faster. I am going to test this out and I will update with a post when I have some more data. The boot time on the new one was about half the old one.

New intercooler and charge pipes from CVF.
Should have gotten this before I installed the ARB Bumper >.<

This is why I did charge pipes and not an intercooler... same reason I haven't done a radiator... They might come out from the top but I really don't want to take the bumper off.

Im prepared to drop the bumper if I need to, I am thinking I might be able to sneak it in there. I found a couple of videos here and there where most people did it without even removing the facia above the bumper....
