Ugh, not what I envisioned when I got the awesome Ford Ranger! I knew I'd be ordering stuff like side steps but never thought so much of my time and money would go to this stuff!

My old FJ had families of mice and chipmunks in the glove box and under the seats for years, but they never ate wiring, only the manuals I had. I guess that old toxic insulation was good for something! Stoopid soy-based and Greta-approved modern insulation! =(

Thanks to @JGF, I added Botanical Rodent Repellent to Soupie's lineup.

I never thought I'd be driving a mobile potpourri jar! =p

It joins Grandpa Gus' peppermint oil bags, peppermint spray, and pure peppermint oil.

When I spray it all in the engine bay, Soupie has a delightful smell of giant Crest toothpaste tube!

I also leave the hood open a few days a week and blast the engine with the air gun. BUT ... just now, there was a friggin' acorn husk between the battery blanket and battery! Little rat bastards!

I picked up a stubby antenna for the truck off amazon . . . the idea being it would help to lower the height needed to get into a garage.

When I installed the stubby it did as it should, but I noticed the stock antenna wasn't any higher than my basket and fuel cans so I didn't gain anything, except cool points . . .

It's wicked dark out with heavy rain, so the lighting is on the harsh side using an Ego LED work light.

Get a nice 12 x 12 x 2 inch thick board to put under it. Those little bases will sink into the ground and get tippy. Most of the flat pads come with rubber glued on to prevent slipping. Not sure if yours came with a clip on pad but it's a good idea to add some.
