What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?

No machine (yet!). Although she does love doing it but would like to pick up a little speed, so maybe a polisher is a good idea? She spends about 3-4 hours doing a detail of her Mazda CX-5, inside and out. Some of the issue is her height of 5 foot, so getting the middle of the hood and the roof lows her down.

I have this one from Mothers. It works really good and has a nice low speed so you won't shouldn't burn through the clear coat.

Also, if you got a 5" and a 3" polisher, you could both have one... LOL

Much like a boat though, sometimes it's best if you have a friend with one that you can borrow.

First it's the polisher, than it's the pads, and the polishes, and the compounds....

While they all do the same thing... I go by the, buy once, cry once philosophy.

Hold on here, just before summer, before I got the Ranger, I was a "let God wash it" kind of guy. I admit that I'm surprised to now be all into these microscopic finishes and even special towels (OMG, you should see the zilions of microfibers we have - Kate even has some monster 3 foot by 4 foot drying ones!).

But I gotta pump the brakes on two polishers! (give me a day, I give in easily)

Yeah, Kate got some series of gigantic towels that she loves (being short, she can kind of lob it over the roof).

And ... I now toss any towel I drop into the dirty towel bucket. A few weekends back, it was windy and three clean, unused towels blew of the truck. Like a good little wannbe detailer, I put them aside. Gone are my days of using cut up Levi legs for rags ...

I have a tote of towels, a tote of wash products, a tote of interior products and a tote for my pressure washer... LOL

When we move and the boss sees how many totes of detailing supplies I have, I may be in trouble... LOL
