You should know cheap Taiwan made socket trumps Hong Kong socket every time. I'm ashamed to admit it but things were different when I bought it 30 years ago I have a Russian made set of 6 point metric sockets that are just superb, have been swung on with big breaker bars and pipe "extensions" have use them to drive bearings in a 6 ton press, and other abuses and apart from some chipped chrome on a few they're still like new.today and all night last night lol Abbs and I put on a winch mount and winch. we lost tools, made a mess, busted up some knuckles, scraped up hands and arms. we also discovered the mount manufacture directions were wrong or who ever was reading them should have printed the correct instruction set... guess who was reading them ???. after taking apart way too much and mounting things up and trying to put the bumper etc back on - no go. we had to take it all apart and start over. . . picture was around 3 am after starting over.apparently, due to covid 19 - m 18 wrenches and sockets have vanished from my boxes. had to dig in garage and in the trucks for 18s. found one 18 socket from 4 tool sets?... and one 18 wrench. back in business. cheap hong kong 18 socket fails. ruined the bolt, bolt stuck in socket- in the frame ?. took a moment to reflect on life.?‍![]()
then got my ? and pry bar ?‍
showed that bolt and socket who boss. removed ruined bolt from frame. back to parts bins to scrounge up substitute bolt. found bolt and the sockets i was missing from the begging ?
. finally got it done. winch works. mount works and is solid.![]()
