I trimmed yet more of our 65 year overgrown English Yews. Even though it'll rain tomorrow and Monday, and the dump's not open until Tuesday, I loaded Soupie up. If I don't, my shoulders will be too sore to do it later (getting old has it's joyous challenges). =/

But I finally got to use those 18-inch 24-inch US-made soft loops. Once Soupie's loaded, I can't hook my self-retracting ratchet straps to the bed tie-downs. I doubled the soft loops for the middle tie-downs so that they'd lay over the bed rails (later, as they kept getting pulled into the bed, I ran them through the tailgate lock loop dealio, then when done, I just slid those loops back to over the middle tie-downs). A single soft loop was fine for the rear-most tie-downs.

Once loaded, I clipped the ratchet straps to the first loop on the middle, the second loop only acted as a way to keep the loop in reach.

Meanwhile, Kate's applying Graphene for the first time to her car and loves it, thanks @AzScorpion! :)

I figure a load of brush is the kind of truck detailing that suits me best! =D

But the winter clock's ticking and I'd like to Graphene Soupie for extra slush protection.

Nice load you have there! I have been keeping eye on your dump run posts.
Kind of similar work is waiting for me too.

I love those coffee coca-colas! My favorite is just the plain black coffee flavor

so i broke away for a few hours today and went hunting for some dirt roads and off road scenery. found some. and now i will have to polish out all the pinstripe again lol. but it was nice to get out away from the concrete jungle. tried to get the truck in the picture of the tree for some scale. the tree must have been almost 20 foot around.

A great afternoon pickup, like it better than iced coffee. On sale this week at Kroger for $0.79!!!! I like an of them, although I am a bit partial to caramel.

kind of gagged for a second then thought mmmm sounds good. THEN thought of the cold coffee/stout mix I frequently have for breakfast because beer mixed with caffeine doubles the pleasure... or is it triple..... quintuple....?. don't make me math

Sadly drove my girl to the vet again. Her leg taking long time to heal. But vet says she'll be fine. Just take time.

Update later here in the day. Vet gave her a pain and steroid shot and some meds. She been limping now for 3 weeks, but already she starting to walk normal this evening. Makes me relieved.

It's amazing how much keeps coming off those Yews, we have a tiny yard, but there are 50+ of them and they're 30 feet tall and 65 years old and never been trimmed.

I didn't realize this until the evening, but I had smacked my elbow in a doorway, didn't think anything of it and went on to pole prune and saw branches for a few hours.

Later that night when I was preparing supper, my elbow felt tight and I touched it and YIKES!

Olecranon bursitis, aka Popeye Elbow. doesn't hurt, it just looks gnarly! I have to keep it wrapped for 2-4 weeks 24/7. There goes the lawn aeration I was planning on doing today!

But I did manage to go to Lowe's before I realized I had this thing!

Sorry about your elbow, hope it stays painless while getting better. Take care of yourself and let others serve you for a while. Tell them it hurts really bad. :giggle:

So you will be driving around with that nice green cargo until you are fine and able to unload it?
