I took a vacation day today to do a few catch-up things but a garage door spring broke with a loud thud last night. You'd think an uncoated steel spring in an unconditioned garage on the Seacoast of New England would last more than 67 years ...

So I fixed that (was much easier than many of my Ranger mods), then took the opportunity to have Soupie in the garage and vacuumed the BedRug.

Then I packed it up for a day of kayaking tomorrow. It's nice to have the hard tonneau for this and one reason Soupie's an XL, for these more expensive things. And, again, I can't say enough good about the TrekStep for my height.

I also got to use the @AzScorpion tire step thing to clean the windshield.

Kate's auto detailing cart up on the right.

Those are two 12'10" drop-stitch kayaks in the blue bags.

That @AzScorpion is a persuasive guy, but he does have lots of useful ideas. This is also great for applying 303 Aerospace Protectant on the tonneau (which I haven't done yet, but we do use that stuff on our kayaks).

oh man, those springs look like they could really damage something if it breaks will under stress! glad no one was hurt and no dents to the truck.

Today I did nothing with my Ranger. Went to check her up today after yesterday’s event, admitted she needs a bath again and I am still too tired for that after a long night drive.
She needs to sit still dirty until tomorrow morning, before we go to henfarm to pick up chicks.
you should share some photos of your new chicks when you get them.

That makes my shins hurt just looking at it. Kind of like the old metal bicycle pedals from back in the day.
It's definitely a cheese (shin) grader if you slip on it. lol It's been great for detailing and doing the tonneau cover and it's pretty stable with the 2 levelers that go against the tire.

i had the china (hf) version of that and it worked great until i stepped on it unbalanced. my "greatness" smashed it into pieces. oddly enough they didnt offer the typical extended warranty coverage when i bought it lol guess they could tell i exceeded the weight limit l

It's in the direction where I drop/pick up the wife from work.

I usually get my coffee/sugar and occasional hygiene stuff there. Mostly out of convenience.
